SAP S/4HANA for EHS environment management vs. SAP Sustainability Control Tower

It is well suited when we need to keep environmental information centralized and track waste, compliance requirements, and reporting. It also helps when preparing for audits because the information is easier to find. For simpler processes, it can be more complex than necessary, especially because some screens and configurations require more time and experience.

A de minimis incentive was given to thank the reviewer for their time. The incentive was not used to bias or drive a particular response, nor was the incentive contingent on a positive endorsement. More Info

It could really work well in a larger organization where the info. is spread across different channels, location units, or systems, so stakeholders can compare performance across them and take/suggest corrective actions. By contrast, it is not a good idea for a small organization with limited data to use this.

It's a powerful tool but requires steep learning curve. The positioning SAP does for SCT compared to other products in its portfolio / BOM feels unfair - it doesn't get called out as often as it deserves to! The setup requires some foundational knowledge, it's easy once users get accustomed to it

We chose SAP S/4HANA for EHS mainly because it works well with the SAP environment we already use. It was easier for us to keep the environmental information in the same ecosystem instead of using another separate system.

Same lack of industry-specific content on both, but SAP has the main advantage of direct connection to the ERP data so it saves significant efforts in comparison. Regarding dashboards look and feel and so on, it is more a matter of personal preference between PowerBi and SAP, we personally prefer SAP as it is a bit richer in ability to bring in more data and filter on it.
