Scalefusion vs. Trellix Mobile Security

There a few things I wish I knew before committing to this software. 1. If you plan to track locations of devices then it drains battery life of phones quickly, I had to reduce the location ping to every 15 minutes to mitigate the poor battery performance. 2. The built in mapping on the Scalefusion site is not very useful, you can only map one device at a time. I had to write an app to map all the devices onto one map. I offered to sell them my map, they did not reply and have since copied it, so now they have group mapping but it is not as good as mine. (no satellite view options and does not use google maps)

The program really excels at basic mobile protection against malware and viruses. It offers some unique features as its anti-theft application that can help keep mobile devices from being used by unauthorized users. It works well when providing basic security for mobile devices out in the field or in remote work situations. However, it companies may need more extensive or additional security applications to ensure adequate protection

• The program does well with virus and malware scanning abilities.
• It also has a unique anti-theft feature that can help secure mobile devices.
• The program offers multiple privacy roles that allows sharing of different levels of access to applications.

• battery life of phones is dramatically affected if location is used

• The program could use some improvement in its setup and installation process.
• Another area needing improvement could be its interactive interface.
• Perhaps a learning tutorial or guide could be added to the application.

We need this type of software, Scalefusion although clunky, it does function. And their prices are good compared to the competition. Note I have not tried the competitions software, just looked at their prices.

Installation is easy. There is a steep learning curve of what the software can and cannot do. It is also quite comprehensive, so the is much to absorb. The user interface is not intuitive, many setting are buried very deep.

The support is quite good, usually you can get a response answer within an hour, however many issues take quite a while to resolve.

McAfee Mobile Data Protection offers basic security measures for mobile computing devices without a high cost or extensive training. However, it also may lack some needed features such as data encryption utilized by other products. While its interface is not perfect, it is easier to learn than more feature robust products on the market.

• Once we set up our device through Scalefusion we manage our devices from end to end. That's why it's cost friendly and easy to manage our environment.

• McAfee Mobile Data Protection provides a fairly easy and low cost security measure for providing basic to medium security for mobile devices. While not perfect, it does it basic job fairly well.
• The program may require a bit of a learning curve for some end users with its interface and installation processes. This may require some additional training or support.
• The program lacks some of the more advanced data protection abilities found in other competitor products. The result may be a need for additional security applications.
