Sling vs. Timely

Sling offers enough customization I can see it working in most any scheduling scenarios. The ability to build job types into each employee gives you the control to match employee skills with the need for any particular position. Time of day templates makes it easy to select various shift times.

Timely is suited for organizations that prefer time tracking on remote workers. Timely is not suitable for organizations where the majority of the employees are in office.

• Ease of access for managers & employees alike.
• Sling staff always reply almost right away when I have had questions in the past.
• We love utilizing the different colors for the schedule, so it's easier to see who's what and where/when.
• Easy for staff to apply for shifts.
• Free version does everything we need it to!

• I have to manually add the hex# for colors every time I add a new sub item to a client (that is so annoying)
• The general UX/UI for admin is rough

For admin its not great but for the team it is fairly straight forward I think. The reports are clunky at times, if I have something pulled up on a tab then go into a different tab and back into the Timely tab, whatever I had up is gone, etc.
