STORIS is a great solution for all aspects of a retail furniture store. It is well suited to incorporate modern technology for better communication with customers and vendors. We also use the STORIS website module to advertise our business, and it synchronizes data from our inventory module enabling automatic updates to the website. Transitioning from our previous software provider was a bit difficult because we were used to doing things differently for almost 35 years.
When talking about the best, It suits best for accounting the day to day transaction along with reporting the summary of transaction in comparison with other accounting software like Zoho Books for instance, which we used earlier for accounting transactions. I feel TallyPrime is the leader in the industry. Regarding the less appropirate scenarios are its User interface. which needs to be carved further in future, recommended to come up with a Customized Theming option as users generally feel not so comfortable with the same colors every time. Change is generally expected to include customized vibrant colors. I'm curios watch the developments in future.
TDL related automation is something that I'm very curious and TallyPrime should invest time to develop it and provide Knowledge training on it.
I feel the necessity to introduce the TallyPrime software access in a handheld device access or via web such that on the go transaction can be made noted in TallyPrime without resorting to Desktop environment
The UI should also be changed currently, whenever I sit, I use keyboard like a typewriter and that aesthetic must be modified with a feature
The theming feature should be introduced in the TallyPrime, earlier, in TallyERP 9, we have green color screen with some shades of green and now that they have changed that to some blue with bluish shade, I'm curious to have customized colors.
This can be an overwhelming experience if you are new to point of sale software. There is a lot of information and decisions that have to be made as you set up this system. I highly recommend the in person training to get a better idea of the process. With that being said, this is the reason you want a system like this, it gives you the ability, control and support to build a system that meets your needs with the flexibility to make changes as you grow.
I use it regularly, so I feel it as best apart from the User Interface. For recording general day to day transactions, it is apt and to go far beyond given features and for customization, there is a need for the Tally expert to assess the business requirement, So I feel the rating is apt in this judgement.
I don't think this company exist any more. But at the time we did an evaluation of the two companies to see which came out on top. At the end, it was clear that Storis was a much better transaction based system. It focused on functionality that would help you take care of your customer. The other focused more on reporting and executive level information.
TallyPrime often appeals to small to medium-sized businesses due to its affordability. Its strength in inventory management and tax compliance may make it a top choice for retail or business clients in regions with complex tax regulations. Real saviour when it comes to companies with production and inventory management. Thank you Team for the software.
STORIS has allowed us to continue to have excellent inventory control. We have always had virtually no problems with not-in-location merchandise, and we have maintained that level of accuracy with Storis.
We have improved efficiency by eliminating manual postings for certain receivables, payables, and sales information. We require less staff to handle the day to day processing.
We also use the optional module for delivery truck routing, which integrates well with the STORIS system.
The website integration with the STORIS system has enabled us to show products much easier than we did with our previous software solution & web host provider. There is no longer much manual updating required.
