Subscription Genius (discontinued) vs. TeamUp

I would avoid [it] for any subscription management. Personally, we had a torrid experience with the product and company. The platform is dated and feels like an afterthought or a sideline project for Pape Ventures. They certainly don’t invest any time in developing the product and it feels like there is a real ‘Can’t do’ attitude from the management.

TeamUp is well suited for busy offices where every second counts because you are so busy and need things to stay very organized. This is also helpful with project management and situations where a lot of people are involved in certain projects. It might not be as helpful to someone who is just in charge of one specific project and doesn't have a lot of "hats" to wear and things to keep organized where a regular email calendar might suffice.

• Simplified customer signups.
• Customer service when we have unique problems.
• Makes it easy to accept payments.

• Failed to deliver on promises.
• Auto renew function never worked from the start.
• Facebook Pixel Tracking never worked.
• Support failed to return calls.
• Support failed to return emails.
• Generally ignored.
• It ended up costing us double. I had to waste time chasing them to deliver on a product that never worked.
• Feels like a side project or afterthought.
• No new development time.
• Feels like it has been mothballed.

We selected TeamUp in 2013 because it had more features that we needed compared to the other options available at the time. There are probably lots of other options on the market now and we may switch at some point, but it is easiest for our customers now to continue with what they are familiar with.

• More time to focus on important projects and less on logistical issues.
