Tuskr
Chose Tuskr
So far I prefer Tuskr over TestRail. I haven't explored everything, but Tuskr seems more modern, and more refined. While there are still issues to be resolved, TestRail was expensive, and their payment philosophy left a lot to be desired.
Chose Tuskr
Tuskr has better visual representations and is much easier to setup and use compared to other platforms
Chose Tuskr
Inexpensive providing same level of features. Covers all our necessary requirements in test management. Made my task easy in familiarising the test plan to my juniors. Simple to use UI is easy to understand and does not require much knowledge sharing. One of the best customer …

IDERA (an Idera, Inc. company)
The integration with other tools, and their user friendly layout and design. It's very comfortable to use and is way better than other tools with the Automation Testing tools, thanks to the great API that is included. Sometimes the integration with Jira is a little faulty, but the links to that tool usually work well. It could be cool if it had a better following for the bug items that were registered on other tools.

Its interface, features and dashboard which help a lot to streamline the workflow. And its really very ease to use. My team and I just use this software and adapt in a week. I surely recommend to any organisation, in regards of pricing, features and interface. And their customer support.

  • When you click into a specific test, the status automatically clears. it would be nice for this to be preserved when clicking in instead of clearing
  • It would be nice to be able to add comments specific to certain steps in each test, instead of just one big comment box
  • Since we use Tuskr for QA, we structure it as a table with instructions and expected results. because these are side by side, sometimes it is hard to go in a step-by-step order when there are multiple QA steps to take to complete the test.

Usability
IDERA (an Idera, Inc. company)
As I am a tester, for me I found this tool to be new in terms of everything like the management of tests, plans, releases, reporting, etc. It is overall a good tool for test reporting and can be used for reference in the future. I liked several features of on the go placement of screenshots. Also I feel like the UI , the font, the color combination can be improved

The test case management and automating repetitive tasks, Tuskr saves significant time for my QA teams. The whole process was very easy for my team to adapt and get comfortable with other software. We were continuously able to improve our business and this had a significant positive impact on customer satisfaction and retention.

TestRail definitely saves times. I work in a company that consists of several development teams, all of which have different processes. Some of the teams leverage test cases, some do not. I've noticed that the turn around time it takes for me to pick up a ticket, QA it, and then pass/fail/send feedback is much faster when there is a test case created as I'm not reading through ticket description/comments to figure out what needs to be QA'd.

I have not worked with related testing suite before but Tuskr has been the favorite platform for running test suites. It has generated positive leads from the company data by offering the necessary testing support. It is easy to integrate with other applications to suit business demands. The system generate results from various testing suites that can shared with our clients.
