Considered Both Products

Chose tl;dv
I have used both Supernormal and Firflies.ai earlier.

So while I was evaluating something seriously when I stacked the free versions of all 3 products, I think even then tl;dv showed me more value per meeting, and I could clearly see what all would get unlocked in a Premium …
Chose tl;dv
tl;dv has an advantage over Gemini wherein it can follow a template if there is a preset.
Gemini's greatest advantage is its Google integration, and how much more it can do with the LLM if I had follow-up questions.
Chose tl;dv
While Trustradius seems to have a comprehensive list of assistants; its missed Granola.
Granola! has to be the best of these. Its quite generous in its meeting quota and it's AI quota.
Chose tl;dv
Avoma is more expensive than tl;dv, but it also has powerful revenue intelligence. Basically, if tl;dv doesn't offer enough revenue features for your needs, but Gong offers too much, Avoma may be the ideal balance.

Avoma é mais caro que o tl;dv e, por outro lado, possui …

While the use case of using tl;dv is pretty obvious, our case is to keep necessary meetings stored in one place. What I like about tl;dv is the quality of their transcript. There's a rare case when the transcript is not accurate. We have several paid licenses and they give much more opportunities to follow what was discussed during the meeting. We don't use any automations so I just copy the transcript and manually put it in my ChatGPT for notes. We also face some challenges sometimes when tl;dv doesn't join the meeting properly. It blocks us and we have to run some other notetaker we have. This usually happens when someone has the setting to have tl;dv always joining the meeting that the person is invited to. In this case, there's a conflict between the notetakers and we have to resolve them. Despite that, our company still enjoys using tl;dv due to the quality of the transcript and also due to the ability to add an external recording manually to the recording storage.

Pros
  • Notes with Smart Topics Enabled.
  • Segmentation of the meeting itself, like for one of the calls - 1. Confirmed Action Items and Next Steps; 2. Sales Strategy and Market Segmentation; 3. Pricing and Monetization Model; 4. Customer Segmentation and User Data; 5.Contract and Partnership Details.
  • Speaker Insights - Talk time, Words/min, Questions/hr, Longest talk time are very critical to analyse and give feedback to train the team.
  • Meeting recording itself - no need to always record GMeet or Zoom and cloud.

Giving the user limited but detailed access on a meeting level unlocked more value for me so decision making was way easier for me.

Return on Investment
  • We've most likely saved 3-5 hours every week by trusting tl;dv to provide us with comprehensive notes during meetings
  • The app also minimized follow-up meetings or questions since we can always go back to our recorded meetings
  • It's a great way to review previous or recorded meetings, especially for newly onboarded team members who need a quick example or rundown of how things go within the company
