What is ACCELQ?
ACCELQ is Automation Testing software that runs tests on web, mobile, API, desktop, mainframe, and packaged applications. Testers write logic in natural language; the platform generates executable Java on a Selenium runtime. Autopilot is a set of agents that discover application flows, generate tests, execute them, analyze failures, heal locators and steps, and rerun the suite. Functional Testing and Test Management (plans, execution tracking, defect integrations) sit on the same project.
Key Capabilities
- Natural-language automation: The logic editor accepts ordinary English. ACCELQ generates readable Java rather than a closed keyword dialect. Annotation-based extensions add commands in the same editor. Element capture is visual and includes iframes and dynamic controls.
- Autopilot: Agents cover discover generate execute analyze heal rerun. Q-GPT turns a process name or business rule into step-by-step automation that can span UI, API, and middleware. Design-first recommendations cover modularity, parameterization, and test-data permutations. The team reviews Autopilot output; self-healing can be turned off on a given run.
- Self-healing and Anchor Elements: On a successful run the platform stores a fingerprint (primary locator plus class, label, tag, and relative position). When a control moves or is renamed, the Drift Healer / Change Analyzer matches on semantic and functional attributes, including neighborhood and Anchor Elements, and records the repair in the run report. Reconciliation covers cases such as a text field becoming a dropdown.
- Channels: Web and desktop; iOS and Android on simulators or real devices (cloud or on-premise labs, parallel runs, shared object repository); API and backend (REST, SOAP, JSON, RAML, OpenAPI/Swagger, WADL, XML/WSDL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT, AMQP, Protobuf, WebSockets); UI and API steps in one flow; chained API tests with parameterized payloads and assertions.
- ACCELQ Live (packaged apps): Pre-built, reusable process-flow assets aligned to vendor releases for SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, nCino, Coupa, ServiceNow, and others. Change-impact analysis and multi-release validation are documented for those suites.
- Test design and management: A business-process “universe” traces scenarios to requirements. Manual cases, automated suites, plans, and execution sit together. CI plugins include Jenkins, TeamCity, and Bamboo. Parallel runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac.
Audience & Use Cases
- Audience: Functional testers, automation engineers, QA managers, and IT leaders who own regression on mixed application portfolios.
- Use Case: Codeless UI and API regression; packaged-app release alignment; mobile runs on real devices; in-sprint automation triggered from CI; locator healing after UI change; manual and automated work in one plan.
Technical Specifications
- Authoring: Natural-language logic; generated Java; Selenium runtime.
- Execution: Cloud or on-premise labs; parallel multi-OS; CI via Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo.
- API styles: REST, SOAP, and the message/queue protocols listed above.
