Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The downside is that it takes up more space than the average and is more time-consuming to install. But it's a great tool to use for many different things. Presentations, brochures, video, etc. It's the best and has good support, too. Easy to contact support and get help with any issues. Updates are easy, too.

Pros

  • Presentations
  • Brochures
  • Edit videos.
  • Web design.

Cons

  • Install time - takes long to install.
  • Better compatibility with other products - its starting.

Return on Investment

  • Expensive.
  • Sometimes requires more training than other software.
  • People love it.

An amazing toolbox

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for everything! We use Adobe Acrobat to create and read documents; we use Photoshop for graphics, and the cloud to back everything up.

Pros

  • Cloud saves; allows to free up HD space by having it stored in cloud
  • Ease of access; you get access to all adobe products
  • Easy to synch from device to device

Cons

  • Fonts are a little clunky at times

Return on Investment

  • It's taken the place of apps like docusign and provided additional programs
  • It's a hub for all that's needed for a company

Alternatives Considered

Other Software Used

Email to PDF for Outlook

Still an industry standard but not for long.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have a small team enterprise plan for key designers in our group to access the Adobe Creative Cloud suite to support learning design. We utilize image editing and graphic design for visual aids, layout work for instructional documents, and video tools for tutorials. Firefly has become a regular part of our process for generating custom imagery and graphics, which reduces the time we'd otherwise spend sourcing stock photos or commissioning illustrations for material that's often fairly niche in our industry. The core business problem this solves is how to produce professional-looking training content without a dedicated creative department.

Pros

  • Central app to download apps, manage fonts and team assets.
  • Regular updates to product features to maintain the industry standard.
  • Interoperability between applications with round-trip file management.

Cons

  • Customer Service is disjointed and annoying. The account is constantly changing managers, and they don't log any previous communication.
  • Easy to upgrade, but not downgrade through the admin portal.
  • Increasing subscription prices make it hard to justify staying, especially with increased competition.

Return on Investment

  • Decent allotment of AI credits for generative work in Firefly, but they can be used up quickly with video work.
  • Yearly increases in subscription cost with only expected feature improvements.
  • Empowers individuals to create their own assets instead of outsourcing or licensing.

Usability

Creative Cloud for Enterprise.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I teach the Adobe CC. Our school offers students a license for the semester in which they are enrolled in an Adobe-focused course. This has been a game-changer for students, as they can focus on learning the software by logging in through our Work/School account. The ability for them to install/uninstall applications as needed is great. It frees up space on their devices, allowing them to focus on the application we are currently using.

Pros

  • Easily administered by our IT department.
  • Accessible - easy to access.
  • Seamless updating of applications.

Cons

  • Not having education apps like Captivate as part of the plan is frustrating, since a separate login is required.
  • Make it easier to switch between accounts.
  • Bring back Animate support/updates.

Return on Investment

  • Students leave our program with the ability to use the Adobe CC at a high level.
