Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have used Photoshop for many years and have always found it to be a great product to use for editing images. Over time Photoshop has only become more and more advanced and there is so much that can now be done with image editing very easily to allow you to amend any images as you see fit.

Pros

  • Be able to edit and amend images such as editing backgrounds to look more natural
  • Create graphic designs such as leaflets using interesting visual design elements
  • Remove unwanted elements of an image

Cons

  • Even more expansion on easy image selection removal
  • A simpler way to find the correct tools for what you are looking to do
  • Improved target selection of an element of an image

Return on Investment

  • Allowed more flexibility with images to amend them to suit needs
  • Did not need to spend as much on photography, as I was able to edit the image instead of reshooting
  • Images being more well received as they were amended to work for different subject manners

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Adobe Photoshop daily for my graphic design/branding business. I utilize it for digital and print purposes-- editing photos, social media graphics, backgrounds for print media, etc. It solves the probably of being able to quickly do these tasks and export them for print or web in a small file size.

Pros

  • Ease of exporting for print or web.
  • Switching back and forth between tools like text, color, etc..
  • Layers panel is easy to navigate.

Cons

  • I am having a hard time grasping the new AI features, such as aware fill on photos. It used to be much easier.
  • I find the program crashes often.
  • I struggle to keep up with all of the new features when the app updates.

Return on Investment

  • Streamlines my process of using multiple Adobe applications for one project.
  • It could be more efficient by allowing different brand portfolios within Photoshop to access color palettes and fonts more easily.
  • I wish it was possible to pay for an entire year at one time and receive a discount.

Adobe Photoshop is the image editing application of choice for all of our designers. Whether print or digital, simple resizing and cropping, through to image manipulation and upscaling, Photoshop is a part of practically all design project workflows within our organisation. Integration with other apps in the Adobe Creative Suite is seamless, enabling us to work efficiently.

As a video editor and family photographer, I use Photoshop almost every day in my business. Most of the time, it is removing logos' backgrounds, swapping kids' heads in family photos, or general photo fixes. The new AI has been super helpful in taking out the tedious work of editing.

  • The content aware remove tool is better on Lightroom than photoshop.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Adobe PhotoShop to edit our branding photos as well as photos we take while hosting global conferences and presentations. Adobe PhotoShop allows our whole production team to access photos, presets and make comments/suggestions. Our organization really likes using the generative fill feature for YouTube thumbnails.

  • Object selection tool, sometimes selects layered objects when you only want one of the layers.
  • The layer tools are sometimes confusing to use
  • Saving paintbrushes to a "favorites" gallery

  • We have not needed to hire an outside contractor as our graphic designer/web designer because of Adobe PhotoShop. People such as myself with experience of the tool are able to fulfill additional roles.
  • The tool saves so much time because it allows us to create templates.
  • Adobe PhotoShop has many helpful tutorials, saving money from taking a paid course on it.
