What is Alloy?

Alloy is a lifelike prototyping tool for product managers, built to turn ideas into believable product experiences. It recreates existing product pages in high-fidelity so new concepts begin on familiar ground. Alloy mirrors the user's component libraries and design systems, enabling flows with real UI parts instead of throwaway mockups. The result is a clickable, production-grade feel that helps teams evaluate usability, content, and edge cases before any code is written.

It uses AI prompting to sketch variations in plain language—“add a step for multi-factor login,” “swap this card to a table,” “show the error state”—then supports fine-tuning with a visual editor with breakpoints, empty states, and form validation. Because prototypes look and act like the live product, stakeholders grasp intent, customers can test realistic journeys, and engineers get clearer specs that shorten handoff.

Collaboration is built-in. Links can be shared to the canvas with comments and mentions. Iterations can be versioned, and component-level notes and interaction maps are present to keep product and design on the same page.

Alloy ultimately aims to accelerate discovery, reduce rework, and de-risk launches by validating ideas with real users before sprint planning. Teams can use it to prototype new features, onboarding flows, pricing experiments, and complex dashboards across web apps, SaaS products, and responsive experiences.
