We use Amazon Lex to build support chatbots for supporting our customers. Amazon Lex provides excellent APIs to quickly develop and deploy conversational AI and chatbots. We have also been using Amazon Lex to seamlessly automate a lot of simple tasks in our complex support workflows. Amazon Lex has been fundamental in building interactive support assistants for some of our customers.

  • Easy to develop and deploy chatbots
  • Fully managed, so no need to worry about infrastructure management
  • Integrates with other AWS services for data related tasks
  • Cost effective
  • Monitoring performance with AWS services is extremely easy and convenient

Cons

  • API support needs improvement
  • Few languages which we needed were not supported like Portuguese
  • Sometimes the confidence scores are not accurate
  • Complex web integration
