Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am using Android as a OS on the PAX payment terminals, and before the Android we were using MOVE terminals that were working on the TETRA OS. So there were very deficult to develop and destribute the application on TETRA OS. No we have completely moved to the Android terminals and its helping as to grow our business.

Pros

  • Distribution of the developed solution
  • Memory management
  • Bettry optimization
  • Easy development documents
  • Open Source OS

Cons

  • Quick changes is little bit dificult to adapt as a developer
  • There are no rstrictions on the notification, Every user is getting too much notifications
  • Too much fake apps on the platefarm need to remove from playstore, Can improve the quality checks
  • Therer are too much settings, and different on every brand its very confusing if changing the brand

Likelihood to Recommend

Its very usefull for the Mobile, Wearable and PLA devices. Its very easy to start the development on the Android and its because of java freindly syntex and very clear documentations of apis. I feel its little bit dificult only in case of televisions because on this platform its lacking in documentation.

Android a robust high quality alternative to iOS

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Hosted applications for customer access to utility usage, projected usage, different methods for reducing usage, as well as bill payment.

Pros

  • Wide adoption
  • Highly secure
  • Easy to use

Cons

  • Too tied to devices, new features aren't always backwards compatible
  • Better integration with iOS
  • More frequent updates to minimize latest security risks

Likelihood to Recommend

Very easy to use. User friendly. Wide adoption between different device types, from mobile phones to tablets to "smart" TV/monitors. It does poorly integrate with iOS so not all data can be easily shared between devices running iOS and those running Android. Android releases come from a very trusted source, Google so it is highly secure.

Android in a school

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In our organization, Android is mostly being used in the phones of our employees. Another place that we use it is on our Chromebooks. Chrome OS supports the use of the Google Play store, and so we are able to put Android apps on our Chromebooks for students to use. It makes it so we don't have to buy other iPads or android tablets for classroom use and to get the apps we want.

Pros

  • Android allows you to customize a lot of things.
  • Using Android SDK allows you to get apps not in the app store.
  • It is very affordable.

Cons

  • Can be tricky for some users if they've never used it before.
  • Not very good support.

Likelihood to Recommend

Android is great if you are on a budget and can't purchase other operating systems for mobile devices. It is also great for installing third-party apps if you find one you like. Although there is a lot of customization options available, this may cause some users to become frustrated if they are unfamiliar with this system.

Impressive Operating System For Businesses

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization currently uses the Android operating system for company mobile devices in every department. Some users prefer comparable operating systems, but overall Android is an easy-to-use software for all users and allows flexibility for all our devices. Privacy controls are an important aspect of our decision making and so far we have not experienced any issues. Donor, volunteer, and staff information are secured at all times. We even have one employee who requires hearing aid services, which is offered with Android.

Pros

  • Custom apps.
  • Great security.
  • Multi-device compatibility.

Cons

  • Issues with bugs in upgrades.
  • Quick battery drain.
  • Overheating issues.

Likelihood to Recommend

Android is a great solution for our users for communicating through calls and texts, however, we have a slower response time through web browsers than with other products used in the past. These issues are minimal and overall we are happy with Android products. We are unable however to use Apple Pay and other comparable apps that are popular at this time.

One of the best operating systems

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The Android operating system is one of the best systems that I have used. It is simple and robust and I love it. I know a lot of people that are using Android and they love it as well. And the Android SDK gives us the possibility to create amazing apps. Since Android 5 (Lollipop), we can build beautiful apps thanks to Material Design rules.

Pros

  • Customization.
  • Very easy to use.
  • Android SDK is great.
  • A lot of users.

Cons

  • More optimized for devices.
  • Offer updates for all of the phones.
  • It consumes a lot of memory.

Likelihood to Recommend

Android is recommended for people who want to use a friendly operating system on their phones. It provides millions of apps and it has a lot of developers around the world.
But unfortunately, it has a lot of malicious apps. The user has to be careful with some apps even in the Play Store.

A mobile platform for everyone

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used it to build and deploy solutions for tracking and scanning delivers and products. and the affordability and cost of development/deployment is low.

Pros

  • Affordable and available on many types of devices.
  • Development and release is very convenient than other mobile platform.
  • Cost to enter is low especially when considering the hardware side.

Cons

  • Poor updates.
  • Provides very poor support.
  • Lack of support and developing/supporting for so many different versions is difficult.

Likelihood to Recommend

Despite its flaws, it's still the optimum/cost-effective platform to bring solutions to business cases involving 1000's of users.
