Avast CloudCare is Great for My Customers AND My Bottom Line.
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
CloudCare is installed on every Windows PC. It gives us confidence that we're protected from phishing, web exploits, and viruses in general. It's great that we receive email notices about any issues, too.
Pros
- Blocks phishing attempts.
- Blocks web exploits (web shield).
- Automatically scans computers.
- Settings can be tweaked or whole new policies can be created.
Cons
- If a computer has been permanently removed from the network and you try to uninstall CloudCare, the computer continues to linger in the dashboard.
- I need to proactively run reports in the dashboard to find out who is coming up for renewal or look for other information.
- I can't modify the default policy. I have to make a copy, make my changes to the copy, move devices to the copy then apply it to the devices.
Return on Investment
- I can make money reselling CloudCare.
- Clients are confident that CloudCare is doing a good job, and as a result, they're confident that our company is providing them good value for the money spent.
- Clients know that we can install CloudCare quickly and effectively on new PCs that are installed without affecting their workflow.
