Microsoft Azure Analysis Services is among one of the most helpful and advanced business intelligence tool. This solution is offered as a platform as a service. It is packed with great features and functionalities which makes the business more productive and drives the revenue growth as many critical decision are based on the analysis of this service. The solution can be integrated with different types of Azure services which makes our work easier. We use this tool for different type of use cases like providing secure access, analyzing data, getting insights, providing role based access, depth analysis of data and for other data related use cases. The tool has proved it's worth and never disappointed us.
- Providing role based access or we can say privilege based on the role to the user if it is integrated with Azure active directory and hence securing the access to sensitive data.
- We use to run different type of analytics services to get the better result which is hectic if done manually or with human efforts.
- We also use to collect bulk of data with the help of this tool and run customized test cases for better efficiency of result and better decision making. The result are very crucial and helps in taking big decision.
- It supports different or we can say heterogeneous database vendors like the Oracle, SQL, and hence make the task easy.
- Microsoft Azure Analysis Services is very costly solution and in that price we can get some better business intelligence tool with lot more of capabilities
- The dashboard or we can say user interface is complex and need time to understand and gain expertise in order for proper working.
- It needs continuation monitoring which is sometime a big task.
- Sometime, the tool shows unusual behavior and become unstable, so we need to clear temp files for proper functioning.

The Perfect Tool (if you have expertise)
Azure, until now, is the best platform to analyze and transform data I've ever tried. We use Azure to generate insights by importing data from different sources.
- You can import data from various sources (i.e. Oracle, Azure SQL...)
- You can store data models
- You can elaborate data and create insights
- Perfect integration with Excel and Power BI
- The user interface is a little bit complex if you don't have experience with a similar platform (and it's difficult to find tutorials about it)

Azure Analysis Services support various data sources like Azure SQL server, On-prem SQL, Oracle, etc. We can run models and various analytics services. The burden of maintaining servers and storage is not there as it is supported by Azure and is offered as a Platform as a service.
- Use advanced mashup and modeling features to combine data from multiple data sources, define metrics, and secure your data in a single, trusted tabular semantic data model.
- I have used AAS in establishing the Tabular Semantic model for one of my client's assignments.
- There is very least content available on Microsoft docs and the Internet to get through with AAS.
- i faced lots of connection issues while implementation.
- The need for serious platform experience or expertise.

Stunning product with great visuals
We built a connector for this tool for customers to use when they want to get more insight into their consumer behavior or collect statistics related to certain actions in the product itself. Our goal was to build an easy connector that takes information from our software and sends it over to Azure Analysis Services.

I've used this at two companies recently. It seems like when a truly large amount of data is needing to be stored in a cloud with the best security possible, Azure Analysis Services has been where we turn to. We love the security it gives our organization and how simple it is to use as well. Convenience is what I enjoy most as a user.

Overall my user experience with Azure Analysis Service has been phenomenal I like this tool mostly because it supports various data sources like Azure SQL server, On-prem SQL, Oracle and many more. This allows us to run models and various analytics services easily. Eliminates the burden of of maintaining servers and storage because it's supported by Azure. I like the fast memory data catching layer which is available in the Azure Analysis server helps to provide information with the speed of thought and enhances better decisions making. The support is second to none I have interacted with them severally and they are super fast responsive.
- I like the Azure portal server which helps us to try Azure web design and experience it's compatibility with our data.
- The seamless integration with Azure Active Directory provides secure, role-based access to our critical data.
- Connects my team members to data models using Excel, Power BI and other leading tools which enables us to create reports and easily perform ad-hoc data analysis.
- Provides world-class security to our data and storage to our clients data.
- In my point of view the visualizations are limited compared to other BI tools.
- The price is a little bit higher for SMBS.

Good Analytics Tool
Great product for Analytics and Visualizations of Data. Easy to scale and very powerful. Can add Role based authorizations to the dashboards as well to limit who views what. Easy to connect to various types of data sources. It also has the option to export dashboards in PDF, etc. Should definitely try it out.
