We use Azure backup as the single source for our IaaS VMs hosted in Azure. We do not layer on any third-party tools in addition to the native Azure backup services.
Pros
Backing up Azure IaaS VMs.
Easy to manage using the Azure portal.
Can restore file-level data or the entire VM. Your option.
Cons
Cost
Not sure, but maybe it's time to restore an entire VM?
Likelihood to Recommend
Azure backup is well-suited for complete VM restores or partial file-level restores. If you're looking for more elaborate backups and restores, consider exploring another vendor to replace or augment Azure's backup capabilities.

Azure backup is currently the go-to solution for our VM's in Azure.
It is easy and fast to setup so it's quickly up and running.
Previously our "legacy" backup solutions were unable to provide Bare Metal Restores of Azure VM's because of the lack of Hypervisor access. With Azure backup we can do simple file restores our full machine (Bare Metal) restores.
Pros
Bare Metal Restore for Azure VM's
Ease of installation
Security of the backups (Immutability)
Cons
Monitoring / Alerting could be more simplified/easy to setup
Projected cost (including storage) would be nice, to tell how in what range the cost will be of backing up a VM for x amount of days
Likelihood to Recommend
It is suited for all Azure VM workloads, the easiest way to get a Azure VM backup up & running.
We deployed it on the Typical Windows Server VM's but also on Linux vm's,

Azure Backup is ideal for organizations that already use Microsoft Azure and want to back up their data to the cloud. It also works for hybrid IT infrastructure, with a mix of cloud-based and on-premises resources. Runs SQL Server workloads , Exchange, SharePoint and others. Azure Backup is not designed for complex backups.Azure Backup may not be the best choice for high-performance workloads that require near real-time backup and recovery
We backup on-premises physical machines and Azure virtual machines with Azure Backup. We also use Azure Site Recovery with a few clients and it has had to be used and saved the day. Azure backups are always rock solid.
Pros
Backup on-premises physical machines
Backup Azure virtual machines with Azure Backup
Restore from backups
Azure Site Recovery syncs servers to Azure for disaster recovery purposes
Cons
backup schedule calendar would be cool
Backup vaults should ask if you want to send notifications when you first set it up, there have been a couple of times when I noticed a month later that, backup job failures were not configured to send email notifications.

I sleep better at night knowing that we have Azure Backup configured. Having had to restore files and full backups multiple times I am confident in this solution. I would strongly encourage everyone with Azure to use Azure Backups, in fact, If they don't, I don't think I would want to do business with them.
To create backups for on-premises and on cloud servers. It is simple to use and the cost is affordable when compared to other backup solutions. It is all cloud-based.
Pros

It is a robust solution that stores only modified data, this way it saves storage. It is really easy to use and the storage costs are one of the most competitive on market. It is handy even when the customer has nothing in the cloud and sometimes is the gateway to the cloud journey. You can use a backup set to restore a machine to the cloud, it can help business continuity.
It is used across all servers at the Enterprise level across [the] department. There is a lot of customization available in terms of the requirement that comes up around the user like Daily Backup for 6 Months or a combination of Daily, Weekly, and Monthly with having high Retention Policy which makes data restoration to a high extent.
Pros
Custom Backup
High SLA
Redundancy Options
High Retention of Data
Quick Snapshot
Cons

For SAP and Server Backup we wanted extremely reliable options and a faster mechanism with better efficient backup. At that point in time, it was retaliated to prefer Azure Backup. For a server, we wanted a very Quick 1 Hour Backup for Daily [use] since it was very crucial data for those cases we have preferred Azure Backup.

We keep the backup of all critical systems working 24/7 in our Data Center and databases that are continuously transacted on the cloud side with Azure Backup. Azure Backup provides tier levels that cannot be provided by non-IT companies like us, far below the investment costs as a service.
Pros
Backup; Files, Folders
Virtual Machines, SQL Databases
Even İmage Backups
Cons
There are more features than you need, just learn how to do it.
Really, it is constantly being developed, so I don't think of anything.

We have been using Azure Backups for the last 2 years, since we started migrating VM workloads to Azure. It's an excellent (and obvious) choice for 'simple' VM backups as it is very easy to implement and to administer.
As a native feature from Azure, its integration to Microsoft products (such as Windows VMs and Azure SQL instances) is very good and reliable. It has a friendly user interface, compatible with the Azure visual identity and usage. Its implementation/initial configuration is straightforward, even for those who don't have much experience implementing and managing backup environments.
Different from the more complex backup platforms/implementations, Azure Backup runs pretty well... We have almost zero 'backup job' failures. It just completes successfully every time.
Pros
Microsoft products (especially Azure) integration (Windows/Azure SQL instances).
Easy to implement and to administer.
Friendly interface, compatible to Azure visual identity.
Easy to back up and restore.
Relatively good backup performance.
Cons
Backup granularity (choose only some folders/files to backup).
Application awareness/consistency backups.
Better visualization of policies/schedules (it is not practical to go VM to VM to check the applied schedule).
Reports and metrics.
Likelihood to Recommend
Azure Backup is very well suited for 'simple' VM Backups. Basically, if a snapshot works good for your server/application, than the Azure Backup will work for you. It is a full copy of the entire VM.
If you need more complex backup configurations or granularity, then maybe it won't fit to your needs.

In the last 3 years, we started a process to use our servers in the cloud. We migrated several servers and chose to use Azure Backup for our environment. Azure Backup for safe and reliable disaster recovery. He brought us in a simple way and with a friendly interface, a backup solution for our servers and both Hyper-V or VMware environments. It is an environment with easy backup scheduling and cost effective. There was a significant cost reduction with traditional backups.
Pros
Product functionality and performance from Azure Backup
Your backup is not affected in the event of a virus attack in a production environment
Simple GUI interface make this service very attractive
Integrate azure backup with local Data Protector Manager, It will make a cost-effective
Cons
The need for high bandwidth
The time required to restore files should be a little faster...
Technical support is in need of improvement
Connection failures with some Firewall models
Likelihood to Recommend
Azure Backup is suitable for companies of various sizes, with varying amounts of data. The cost of the investment should be thought out carefully so that there are no bad surprises with unnecessary files going to Azure Backup. The interface is friendly and easy to configure and it does not require your company to have a backup expert. It is highly recommended for companies with smaller number of servers and better if the servers are already running in an Azure environment.
We have used it for over two years in a scenario to perform backups of virtual machines, SQL databases, and data in general. The interface is excellent, clean, friendly, and easy to learn and use. Even local non-IT users can use it without problems. With this tool, backups and restores are easy and simplified.
Pros
Easily backup and restore virtual machines.
Friendly and clean interface and very easy to configure.
Integrations with other Microsoft products. Customizations.
Excellent documentation from Microsoft. The guides help and are easy to follow to set up.
Cons
Successful solution. No errors or bugs or problems.
