Use Cases and Deployment Scope
As a partner of beqom I do evaluate the business needs and the match with different solutions of Compensation Management, including beqom.
We have implemented beqom for many companies from 1,000 employees to 1,000,00 employees. Functional can be Salary Review, Bonus Management, Deferred Bonus, LTI, Benefits, Sales Performance Management, etc. The solution is usually used and administrated directly by the HR/Sales team with direct access to the employee eligible for the processes.
The solution is sometimes a back-office simulation & calculation tool that collects input data, performs the complex tasks, and pushes the result back to another HR or Sales tool. It can be used by one entity, several entities or globally. Depending of the case the administration of the system can be managed by each entity on its scope or globally by a central team.
Pros
- Budget Simulation, impact analysis of change ina compensation plan, scenario comparison
- End user (functional user) administration
- Total compensation management (ability to manage all the processes in a single tool)
- Integration into the information system (SSO, data flows, etc.)
- Complex business rules
- Matrix organization management and complex workflows
Cons
- Territory Management
- Mobile functionnalities
Likelihood to Recommend
Depending on the complexity of the processes, the regulatory constraints and the number of employees to be managed, beqom can be a very powerful solution. Sometimes it's just too powerful and expensive for the scope.
