We use it to orchestrate a multi az private cloud. Building out networks and consuming the rich telemetry data that comes with it. We're able to hide the complexity of configuring VXLAN EVPN networks from network engineers but also from the user by fronting it with a custom portal which offers the ability to create networks and tag those inside Infoblox

We used Cisco Nexus Dashboard specifically for automating the creation of networks in our private cloud environment using a VXLAN EVPN multisite environment. It integrates into Infoblox well. It's also very suited in network troubleshooting for past and present issues. Where I don't see it being used much is in the campus but it's nice to know we have the ability to add catalyst if needed.

In our organization, we use Cisco Nexus Dashboard for Ease of management for DC (data center) networks. Cisco Nexus Dashboard allows for quick application of policies. Onboarding of existing vxlan fabrics is easy. Moving from single sites multi site is really straightforward. Cisco Nexus Dashboard allows our network team to monitor and manage large fabrics.

If asked, I think I am likely to recommend Cisco Nexus Dashboard to a colleague because, in my experience, Cisco Nexus Dashboard is Definitely well suited for deployed large scale DCs (data centers), with integrations across, VxLAN, ACI and Catalyst fabric through a single window

It is a very powerful tool for centralized management and operational analytics for Cisco data center environments. while it is not suitable for data center where there is a limited Cisco footprint.

We used Cisco Nexus Dashboard during the deployment of our new data centers to help deploy VXLAN DCI and monitor the Nexus switches. Attempting to deploy a VXLAN DCI manually was exceedingly complex and Cisco Nexus Dashboard with NDFC (Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller) vastly simplified the process. It also provides configuration monitoring for the switches involved in the deployment allowing our engineers to keep the configuration correct.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is exceedingly well suited for greenfield data center VXLAN deployments as it handles the configuration completely once individual site settings are configured.

In a brownfield deployment it is better suited for just monitoring and code updates on the switches instead of configuration management.

It is a good central location for Nexus software packages though the additional components may require additional server deployments.
