Cisco Secure Equipment Access

Score4.2 out of 10

What is Cisco Secure Equipment Access?

A solution for secure remote access to ICS and OT assets, that enables enforcement of cybersecurity controls at scale with Cisco's zero trust network access (ZTNA) solution, made for industrial networks and harsh environments.

In my opinion, Buy something else run away from this.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have this as a DMZ firewall to a control network. That Control network is 2 vlans. We needed remote users to have access to either 1 vlan, or both vlans.

Pros

  • Its working well in a dirty/hot enviroment.

Cons

  • ease of use
  • Duo MFA intigration
  • CDO integration
  • People understanding your licensing structure.
  • Being transparent when your being sold a Alpha development stage product

Return on Investment

  • Lost us perceived ability in eyes of company higher ups
  • Put off projects while this was being sold to us as it was sold as a perfect fit. Now need to start over on product search and have lots large amounts of time.
  • seriously damaged relations between us and Cisco partner we purchase from.
