What is CoLoop?

CoLoop is a Market Research platform for planning, conducting, analyzing, and retaining qualitative research. It is designed for interviews, focus groups, online communities, concept tests, usability sessions, diary studies, and open-ended survey responses.

CoLoop analyzes primary research data at the participant level and connects each generated finding to the supporting quote, transcript, speaker, and original context. Its Transcription capability converts research recordings into searchable text before analysis, including multilingual sessions.

Key Capabilities

  • Research planning and participant management: Teams can create a research plan and discussion guide from a plain-language study brief, then build panels from comma-separated values (CSV) files or connected sources such as Salesforce, Mixpanel, and PostHog.
  • Research capture and ingestion: CoLoop’s Meeting Bot can join and record interview sessions. Researchers can also upload audio, video, transcripts, spreadsheets, and open-ended responses, or import data from research-community and feedback platforms.
  • Multilingual transcription and translation: The platform transcribes and translates research sessions in more than 100 languages. Analysis can run in the source language, while teams collaborate in another language. Personally identifiable information (PII) masking is available for transcripts and media.
  • Evidence-based qualitative analysis: Analysis Grids, content-analysis reports, participant segments, and Thought Partner Chat identify patterns and compare responses across participants or cohorts. The Evidence Panel links findings back to the supporting verbatim and full transcript context.
  • Concept and stimulus testing: Concept Testing Mode labels and compares reactions to multiple concepts or stimuli within a study, helping researchers distinguish feedback about one concept from another.
  • Research repository and reporting: CoLoop Memory retains projects, tags, findings, participant segments, and summaries for cross-project research. Teams can search historical work, create report-ready outputs, and export highlighted quotes, audio clips, video clips, and reels.
  • Integration and AI-tool access: CoLoop connects with conferencing, storage, research, and community platforms, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, SharePoint, OneDrive, Box, UserTesting, and Recollective. An Model Context Protocol (MCP) server can provide governed access to research insights from supported AI tools.

Audience & Use Cases

  • Audience: User-research, market-research, customer-insight, research-operations, strategy, and product teams, as well as research agencies.
  • Use cases: Analyzing interviews and focus groups; comparing concept-test reactions; synthesizing open-ended responses; sharing evidence-backed customer quotes with stakeholders; conducting multilingual research; and building a searchable library of past research.

Technical Specifications

  • Primary data types: Audio, video, transcripts, spreadsheets, community-platform exports, and open-ended responses attributed to individual participants or speakers.
  • Traceability: Findings and quotations link back to transcript context and participant information for researcher review.
  • Security posture: CoLoop states that it supports controlled workspaces, PII masking, European Union deployment, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) readiness, and SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 compliance. Buyers should confirm applicable controls and data-residency requirements.
