What is Continua AI?

Continua AI is an investigation workspace for lenders, investment funds, advisors, and transaction teams reviewing large collections of financial, legal, and operational records. Its intelligent document processing capabilities examine complete document sets, connect related terms and evidence across files, and return findings linked to the relevant document, page, section, sheet, or other source location.

Key Capabilities
  • Cross-document investigation: Reviews credit agreements, amendments, financial statements, contracts, disclosure schedules, spreadsheets, and supporting records as one corpus. It can identify conflicting values, unsupported claims, missing evidence, amendment history, and relationships between provisions located in different files.
  • Credit and underwriting review: Compares borrower applications and underwriting summaries with financial statements, bank records, aging schedules, debt schedules, invoices, purchase orders, and material contracts. Findings can address concentration risk, debt obligations, covenant terms, and gaps in the submitted evidence.
  • Contract analysis: Extracts and evaluates termination rights, assignment restrictions, change-of-control provisions, liability terms, financial covenants, guarantees, consent thresholds, and other material clauses. Credit-agreement analysis can trace definitions, baskets, sacred rights, and liability-management protections through amendments and related agreements.
  • Due-diligence reporting: Reconciles claims in confidential information memoranda and other deal narratives against source financials and contracts. Reports distinguish document facts from inferences and retain contradictory or unresolved evidence for professional review.
  • Structured batch extraction: Applies the same questions to every uploaded document and returns a comparison matrix with one row per file and one column per requested field. Missing or indeterminate answers remain visible rather than being removed from the output.
  • Review and collaboration: Users can ask follow-up questions, inspect cited findings, share read-only reports, and export completed work to PDF or DOCX. Finding criteria, report-composition instructions, guardrails, and model selection provide control over an investigation.
  • Supported inputs: Continua accepts PDF, DOCX, XLSX, and CSV files, along with files selected from Google Drive. Optional web research can add current public sources with citations.

The vendor states that files submitted for a one-time task are deleted after processing and are not used to train models. Users can intentionally retain files by adding them to a persistent Project for continuing or shared work.

Continua also provides six free, no-sign-up clause tools: the LME Blocker Checker, Sacred Rights Checker, Financial Covenant Extractor, EBITDA Add-back Analyzer, Material Adverse Effect Checker, and Change of Control Clause Finder. These tools review excerpts or limited files; complete agreements and data rooms are handled through the main workspace.

Audience & Use Cases
Continua is designed for commercial lenders, direct-lending and private-credit funds, CLO and leveraged-loan managers, investment and due-diligence teams, restructuring advisors, and creditor-side counsel. Common uses include borrower-package review, secondary loan diligence, covenant analysis, liability-management review, acquisition due diligence, amendment comparison, and batch contract abstraction.
