Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We deployed Cylance Protect, not Smart Antivirus, for a construction company with fewer than 20 users. Their network had been infected, and the owners wanted to gain control of the existing network, clean infected machines, and implement controls and policies moving forward to monitor their network.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We switched to Cylance a few years ago when we changed our MSP. Back then, we used Norton, which was okay at the time. Cylance promised minimal training and staffing needs. After the initial setup, we would not have to have a dedicated security admin to manage. We would all just share the responsibility of managing it.

As a managed services provider we provide Antivirus for our clients. We settled on Cylance Smart Antivirus for our clients because of its next-generation AI for antivirus and antimalware scanning. It has provided to us great capabilities in order to not have issues with ransomware or viruses across our 3,000 endpoints.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Cylance as our endpoint protection software (or antivirus). We replaced Sentinel 1 with Cylance when we switched our Managed Security Services Provider. We used it on all workstations and servers, and it did keep them secure. We relied heavily on our MSSP for implementation and configuration.
