Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We previously used it as our BCDR solution. Its primary purpose was to provide backup and recovery capabilities for the servers we manage. One of the key benefits was its ability to maintain consistent snapshots across multiple client environments through a centralized management platform. It also made recovery straightforward, allowing us to quickly spin up a snapshot for file restoration whenever needed.

Pros

All clients on the same Webui.
Easy to spin up a snapshot.
Support is fast.

Cons

It can be sometimes complicated to change the settings.
They make it very difficult to migrate the backups.

Likelihood to Recommend

It does exactly what it needs to do. If there is another MSP that needs a set-it-and-forget-it box they can deploy on client sites, I would recommend this box, especially if they are already using other Datto products such as Datto RMM, as it all integrates with the same portal.
