Our company moved our retirement plans from Vanguard to E*TRADE. And then quickly moved back. We were shocked at how poor the E*TRADE account management teams were. (Teams, plural, because we have four within less than a single year as their client). When we needed support we would contact our account manager and on multiple occasions, they were no longer with the firm with no prior indication and no way of finding their replacement. Communications were lost and never responded to. It was a major decision to move our company's plans and assets from Vanguard to E*TRADE and I greatly regret it. As a small business employer, we cannot gamble with our employees' assets and the lack of support from E*TRADE made it feel like every customer service experience was a spin of the roulette wheel.
  • Low fees
  • 24/7 support
  • Response times
  • Account management
  • Customer support
  • Employee support
  • High personnel turnover
  • Depositing assets
Scenarios where there is zero chance anyone associated with the account could ever need any form of support from a human being at E*TRADE.

We use E*TRADE to buy and sell securities and other commercial paper for companies based in the United States and around the world. The business problem it immediately addressed was to allow us to enter markets around the world from one portal. We are able to invest or divest in a variety of markets with little or no difficulty.
  • Buying Stocks and Bonds.
  • Selling Stocks and Bonds.
  • Providing material information on a timely and complete basis.
  • The screens are sometimes crowded with generally related items.
  • Drilling down is acceptable for some investments but not for all.
  • The method for extracting funds can sometimes take a while.
It is well suited for investment in common stocks, bonds, and other commercial paper. It is well suited for purchasing foreign stocks. It is not presently appropriate for other investment opportunities involving private stocks or limited issues. Extracting funds can be a challenge from time to time. Collecting data on investment opportunities is not always easy to do.

It is offered as an alternative website to staff to make personal investments outside the scope of the company retirement plan. It opens up private companies to look at investing. It gives the employee the opportunity to look at open market companies and make investments based on one's preferences and personal choices.
  • Gives you graphic on how a stock is doing.
  • Gives you some insight to the company background.
  • Lets you track how your investments are doing.
  • When transferring funds from an external account there is a delay in money coming into the account by a least one day.
  • You can not access a lot bitcoin investment companies through e-trade.
During the COVID pandemic, the airline companies were taking a big hit on travel and I saw this as a great opportunity to invest in airline stock because its value in the market had dropped tremendously. I used this opportunity to invest in multiple airline stocks through e-trade by buying the stock at an all-time low for airline stock. It was a great investment for me in the long term.

E*Trade is used for the RSU and ESPP Purchases for our company. The tools allows to provide Vested Stocks, Bonus Stocks and Employee Purchase Plan for Employees without any hassle. It integrates with Payroll and tax systems as well as accounting tools across multiple countries making it easy for management to allot Company Stocks and Bonuses with very less efforts.
  • Restricted Stock Units
  • Bonus Stocks
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program
  • Trading Panel
  • Technical Indicators
  • Consultation on Tax
Being used other panels, E*TRADE has an edge on getting things done related trading, selling and purchasing at a great extend, it is very easy to use, provided that the users have very less knowledge in Share Markets, the tool has a minimal platform as. well as advanced features to work with multiple people. However, there is room for improvement in terms of Management features and Support after the employee leaves.

I use E*TRADE to buy and sell stocks primarily. Their research tools and reports are very helpful in evaluating various companies and making good decisions about when to buy or sell.
  • I like their sell orders that allow you to set a price or percentage as a stop loss.
  • Their dashboard is easy to use and gives you some quick info.
  • I also like E*TRADE's reports for gains and losses.
  • Moving funds into and out of your accounts is pretty simple with E*TRADE.
  • They've made some good changes over the years and I can't think of anything to improve at this time.
I'm a pretty basic investor and E*TRADE does all I need. I've been doing online trades for about 20 years and this is pretty much the best I think it could be.

For ESPP and RSU
  • shows lots purchased
  • good multiple report at one tool
  • summary page needs to have more details like it doesn't show current market price for an option purchased
  • purchase or sell needs to be user friendly so it takes less time.
