The technology is so simple to use that even non-IT professionals can use it. Google Cloud Console's DNS administration tools are remarkable. This gives you complete control over all functions, unlike third-party domain registrars, who typically charge extra for DNS features.
  • Privacy Control
  • Cloud services under one google account
  • Gives full detailed reports
  • Navigation to multiple features are bit time taking
  • Basic design
  • Need to improve on GUI
Google Cloud DNS is simple to set up, records move quickly, and it's integrated with the majority of the Google Cloud Services that we use. With its rapid record spread and ease of use, Google Cloud DNS has helped us in the acceleration of server migrations.

We were seeking an off-site DNS solution that would be reliable and have low-latency, plus be easy to implement.I was tasked with investigating options that might work for our mid-size company. Of course, Google is a trusted brand, so it was one of the first we looked at and after a trial period, we implemented it.
  • Low Latency
  • Scaled pricing
  • Ease of use
  • Initial onboarding was not completely intuitive
We’re a “set it and forget it” company for many of our IT solutions, and Google Cloud DNS fit that description well, once we were able to complete the implementation. The ability to test it free and a price scaled to our usage made it easy to try and cost-justify.

We use it for our Google and internet search presence. It works well and is free or was at the time. We used it correct search terms, DNS look up, DNS mapping, etc. Used instead of many 3-party DNS services, that charge for less features. Updates in real-time. Documentation and deletion of DNS records.
  • DNS records
  • DNS managment
  • Google Cloud Console
  • TXT records limited
  • can be confusing
  • pricing got expensive
It works great with other apps and services. Can easily view, edit and correct DNS records. It is well suited for multifaceted business, with robust internet search interactivity and rotating customer users. It works best with IT professionals or those who can learn the ins-and-outs of DNS lingo. It is not that needed for education/non-profits, unless you are actively recruiting or fundraising.

We start researching and after evaluationg different options we chose Google Cloud DNS maily because the price fitted our budget and also because it was really easy to use so we had no doubt with the decision.
  • it is affordable
  • its use is really friendly

  • invoice and payment information could be more accesible to find

Our team consist of post graduate students who work on joint projects with Government and private funders. We use Google Cloud on a daily basis. It is the store house for all our information. Our team is spread across a few cities but with Google cloud, access to any document is seamless. We are not restricted by having physical information confined to a physical office space. We have onboarded new members and simply provided them with access to the appropriate folders. The ability to control access to specific folders is a key benefit of Google Cloud, for security and privacy issues regarding sensitive information.
  • Privacy Control
  • Collaboration
  • Ease of access to information
  • Organisation
  • Communication about access and changes to folders
  • Easier management of access
Google cloud is well suited to access and collaborate on documents where more than 2 people are required to contribute and in instances where feedback from individuals is captured on the document itself. If a team is working on an end of year report for funders, a few key members may need to finalise a report by offering suggestions that can be viewed and resolved by other team members. Housing documents on Google Cloud is the most appropriate platform I have ever used for tasks like these.

If minimal collaboration needs engagement from just 2 individuals, it may be easier to simply email the information between each other, rather than using time to create a folder, ensure access control and upload the information to Google Cloud for collaborative input.

Through managing our domain easily we can make updates when needed and ensure a smooth process for our donors navigating to our website and anyone interested in partnering with us to complete a service project. We have several different domains we manage through Google for various campaigns throughout the year and other related websites.
  • Very user-friendly
  • Affordable
  • Integrates well with our techstack
  • Managing through Google admin can be confusing to navigate sometimes
  • Finding billing information such as invoices could be a bit easier
  • Customized notifications before renewals would be great
Google domains we feel is well suited for just about any organization out there because it's so user-friendly, easy to navigate and make updates quickly, extremely affordable which was paramount for us as a smaller nonprofit when we were starting out and it integrates so well with other Google products and our overall techstack.

We use Google Cloud DNS to be able to access the same IP server from different computers allowing for a seamless system within the office. We use a lot of medical forums and applications like ImageNet and MacPractice to keep records and data of our patients. With Google Cloud DNS, transitioning documents from one pace to another is easier and much more efficient. We are able to have our own private VPN network in order to minimize risk of exposure.
  • IP Routing
  • Split Horizon DNS
  • Cache IP for future requests (Very helpful)
  • Interface is advance, but could be easier to navigate
With Google Cloud DNS, transitioning documents from one pace to another is easier and much more efficient. We are able to have our own private VPN network in order to minimize risk of exposure. The split horizon dns specifically helps us to keep our network secure, especially since we have lots of people in and out of the entire building day after day. We need this extra layer of security.

It is being used across the whole organization. We use it to manage our DNS settings - this includes routing our domain names to IP's for external as well as internal websites. The user experience has been pretty good - in that, the console is clean to use, and the configuration settings can be easily found.
  • minimalist UI
  • configuration settings provided cleanly
  • documentation is available
  • in case of an error, the presentation should be improved; error should be more clearly explained
  • better documentation
  • explanation of the fields at the place where they appear
Google Cloud DNS is well suited in most cases - it has a clean interface, plenty of configuration options, available to view and edit on the Google console.
It may not be as well suited for novice users since the documentation about the various fields is not always available near where the fields need to be set.

Google cloud is used across our organization to manage routing domain names to IP for our websites. The user interface it has is very easy to work with it. We can easily manage DNS mapping using A records. They have also the best pricing as compared to other competitors. The turnaround time they maintain for issues is pretty good. We do have full control over the DNS settings of our domain which helps to make changes easily whenever needed.
  • Interface is user friendly
  • It is safe , Secure and reliable
  • It has lower pricing plans
  • They have good customer support
  • They do have good documentation to have fair ideas on their offerings
  • It is hard for first time user to get used to it.
  • Support is restricted for 3rd party services who uses it
  • Sometimes the support people take more than 24hrs to reply to our queries, But it is not for all issues.
  • Search function could have been made easy to search records
It is good for users to manage routing domain names to IP for websites. One can easily manage DNS setup using it. It is very fast and reliable. It may be a bit confusing for a less technical person to handle. We do not have any downtime from the day we shifted to google cloud DNS. Google Cloud does not break a sweat managing small to high amount of users. There are some drawbacks [that] can be rectified but it is not a deal-breaker.

Google Cloud DNS is quick and stable. Contrasted with different DNS workers, I confide in Google more due to its immense organization. A wide range of records can be made do with accommodating guidelines for new administrators. Simple IP the executives particularly in the event that you sent in Google cloud.

I typically utilize the DNS programming my host gives, and simply keep my areas facilitated and directed across the board place. Be that as it may, Google Cloud DNS refreshes a lot snappier and I definitely relocated my spaces and their DNS over and have been utilizing it for very nearly 2 years now. It's fantastically open since it's Google!

In less complex words, admittance to our Google worker or framework is worldwide and we have 100% accessibility to the Authoritative Name Servers. We additionally have full authority over your DNS settings and these are no longer at the control of any outsider enlisting our spaces. This further improves our IT foundation security. Estimating is extraordinary besides.
  • Anti-Malware.
  • DDoS Protection.
  • Disaster Recovery.
  • Reporting / Analytics.
  • Complexity.
  • Front-end interface is slow.
  • Pricing for support is also really high.
I truly like the dependability and low-dormancy admittance to the framework. In more straightforward words, admittance to our Google worker or foundation is worldwide and we have 100% accessibility to the Authoritative Name Servers. We likewise have full authority over your DNS settings and these are no longer at the control of any outsider enlisting our areas. This further upgrades our IT framework security. Valuing is incredible besides.

Google Cloud DNS incorporates with different devices, for example, terraform very well in this way empowering simple expansion and evacuation of DNS records. It additionally coordinates well with other Google Cloud stage items.

Documentation and simplicity of use is first class for Google Cloud DNS.

This is being used by our company for DNS service on some of our client websites that are being hosted on Google Cloud. This makes DNS very easy to manage and centralizes things when other Google Cloud services are being used as well, such as Google Compute Engine, Google Storage, etc.
  • Easy to use
  • Fast Propogation
  • Centralized management
  • A little hard to find initially
  • Requires a google account
  • May be a little difficult for less technical people to use
I believe Google Cloud DNS is well suited if you are already using some Google Cloud services such as Compute Engine. It may be less appropriate for people who are not currently part of the Google ecosystem as it may require some extra unnecessary account setup. As well, it may not be the best suited for less "techy" people.
