Overall Satisfaction with Google Cloud DNS

We use it for our Google and internet search presence. It works well and is free or was at the time. We used it correct search terms, DNS look up, DNS mapping, etc. Used instead of many 3-party DNS services, that charge for less features. Updates in real-time. Documentation and deletion of DNS records.
  • DNS records
  • DNS managment
  • Google Cloud Console
  • TXT records limited
  • can be confusing
  • pricing got expensive
  • search terms
  • record keeping
  • real-time
  • not for some education organizations
  • easy to use, for IT staff
  • difficult for non-tech savvy
At the time Google DNS was free for most features. We already use google for a variety of needs, so it integrated well. We tried a few other products, but they were expensive (for our needs) or cumbersome. Training was simple with Google DNS, for IT adjacent staff. Other products were mush more jargon heavy.

Do you think Google Cloud DNS delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Google Cloud DNS's feature set?

Yes

Did Google Cloud DNS live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Google Cloud DNS go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Google Cloud DNS again?

No

It works great with other apps and services. Can easily view, edit and correct DNS records. It is well suited for multifaceted business, with robust internet search interactivity and rotating customer users. It works best with IT professionals or those who can learn the ins-and-outs of DNS lingo. It is not that needed for education/non-profits, unless you are actively recruiting or fundraising.
