I use Google Map API in my company's official website so that our clients easily locate us. This tool is a very affordable, accurate, and widely used map API as compared to others. I can't only customize Google Maps API as per my needs but it gives static, dynamic, and 360° views to my prospects and clients. It also gives real traffic updates when someone wants to visit our office.
  • Gives local information
  • It gets updated very frequently which helps our clients discover the shortest route
  • I can customize it as per my needs
  • Is very affordable
  • It should be updated more frequently as the route/road changes from time to time
  • Few remote locations are not covered in Google Map API
  • At fewer places it shows wrong directions so need to they research on that
It is most suited for someone who has a physical office, particularly a retail store which helps them to promote the business locally. I would suggest businessmen should use this tool for promoting their business in a more effective way. It is of least important if you are promoting your business digitally and don't have a physical location.
  • Make a customized map with a pointing my organization
  • Plan routes leading to my office
  • Check in features given by Google map API
  • Definitely it gives optimum ROI to my organization which is positive sign.
  • My company overall business showed a positive growth rate.
  • I now get more no of people visiting my office .
Though Mapbox is cheaper than Google Maps API Google map is more accurate, has a good database, and has more maps in it. It has excellent language support and a better view than Mapbox. One can personalize Google Maps more than we can do in Mapbox. Lastly, Google Map API is more reliable than Mapbox.

We use it via developing the code when we are building it from a scratch. It is one of the easiest ways to implement google maps as it contains API keys which is quite convenient as compared to others. Also fetching the API is quite easy in the code we used for displaying locations.
  • API Integration
  • Features of the API
  • Accuracy of the results
  • Lagging issues
  • Initial boot tooks long time
  • Sometimes shows inaccurate location
I used this API in a clone website where we have done the integration of the MAP API which was working quite well. But as soon as it is started working [for] a long time we may face issues while seeing the functionalities were not accurate, so we need to refresh it a couple of times in order to display particular content.
  • Feature loaded
  • Futuristic as it is having multiple functionalities
  • Integration is quite simple
  • It helps us to improve in the code integration
  • It is one of the convenint way to setup the code
  • API sometimes not performing well in the small case areas.
Google MAP API is one of the prominent ones as compared to others. In the selection process also we are [complete] with the API provider by Google MAP as it is quite stable. No doubt it is one of the best methods to implement or integrate as compared to any others which is available in the competition.

We have our presence on google maps so it will make it easy for the students and parents to find us on maps and reach us easily.
Further when I travel to other cities and states for company work it helps me to find hotels, restaurants and the place where I want to go.
  • Very simple UI, easy to use.
  • You can send your live location to a person who wants to meet you.
  • You can mark and pin the locations you are travelling regularly.
  • You can get the code of iframe for any location and embed it into your organization's website also.
  • Street view is available for UK and US but not for India I hope they will do it soon
  • Updates for android devices is more frequent in comparison to IOS devices
If you love travelling [Google Maps API is] a must app for you it will guide you to the places. You can search pub, restaurant and places to stay easily in the locations where you never been before. With the live location sharing you'll never get lost.
It is fit for every scenarios it will save your time in finding the exact location.
  • It saves time and time is money
  • You can find budget hotels to stay again this will save money for you
  • And this app is free no subscriptions and paid plans required
So to find locations and places I am using it for so long. I don't even remember that I have used any of the other app. I don't even know that whether any such app exist.

Yes, we are using it as a bridge to the solutions we bring to our customers. Live end to end mapping.

  • Able to integrates with various Google API features.
  • Easier to customize and is a 1 of the best choices to implement into browser and hybrid engine.
  • Extension on traffic API features and geographical information API based on current project being held on a certain location.
To integrate with hybrid App focusing on current location and location information.
  • Live Location API.
  • Place information API.
  • Rich information DB from Google MAP such as place rating and etc.
  • reduce cost
  • easy to maintain
  • easy to customize

Google is everyone's choices nowadays. It is important to know they will keep growing constantly and to having an engine from a part of Google's feature Google Maps API is a wise choice.

There are lots of API coming in and we can integrate with within Google Maps API libraries, it is a powerful engine for present and for the future.

Our company uses Google Maps API across our whole organization. We do appointment setting and lead generation for businesses across the U.S., and quite often, a client has a large geographical area they are targeting. So in each of our databases, we have a link for Google Map API so that they can schedule appointments in the same area on the same day. This is good for our clients, so they don't have to travel a long distance back and forth between their appointments.
  • It allows us to schedule appointments in the same area on the same day.
  • It enables me to recommend geographical areas to target for our clients.
  • I would like more information about population in a particular area.
We are a call center that does appointment setting for businesses across the U.S. Quite often, and we have a client with an extensive geographical area they are targeting, sometimes even across multiple states. Our callers can quickly search the area so that they schedule appointments on the same day in the same area. Very important to our clients as they get distraught when we send them to an appointment 2 hours away and then another appointment back to where they came from and then another appointment in the middle of the two, and the client is driving back and forth. Not Good! I do not have a scenario where it did not work for what I needed it for.
  • We use it to send a map with our appointment notice to our clients. We can customize it, so our clients are very appreciative and feel we go the extra mile.
  • I love to be able to use the satellite feature. This has worked well for my commercial roofing accounts, where the prospect is not sure what type of roof they have. We can use the map and see it for ourselves. Very Cool.
Other map programs do not seem to be very accurate with road closures, and traffic barriers like Google Maps API do. Its been a while since I tried the others, but when I did, they were not able to do the satellite views or draw like a radius around an area and print. I have found that pretty much anything. Google Maps API is easier to use than others on the market.
It does everything I need it to do and hasn't let me down yet. It has been a lifesaver for my roofing accounts. Most of my clients for the roofing belong to an Amish community with no computers and so forth. So being able to search the maps and look at the rooftops is imperative for those campaigns.
