Overall Satisfaction with Google Maps API

We use the Google Maps API to link to our location on our website. It helps people find us easily. We also believe we should meet the customer where they are at, and many of our customers use Google Maps - hence why this is a great example.

Pros

  • Link out to app/website.
  • Introduce familiarity.
  • Allow users to ‘save’ the location.
  • Show relevant nearby locations to the user.

Cons

  • Google Maps could auto translate better.
  • More clarity in location.
  • Less ambiguity and complaints.
  • Our help team field fewer queries.
Very usable by both the web editor and the end user. Fits in perfectly, as it is already widely used by our users and staff alike. A very helpful tool for ensuring our customers know how to get to us.
