Carve by Gradient Works
What is Carve by Gradient Works?
Carve by Gradient Works is a territory-planning product for B2B revenue operations, sales strategy, and sales leadership teams. It supports sales performance management by helping teams divide accounts among territories and representatives based on factors such as account fit, segment, headcount, vertical focus, coverage capacity, and distribution constraints.
Users describe territory requirements in natural language, and Carve generates account assignments that follow those rules. Teams can create multiple scenarios within a project, compare their effects side by side, apply stakeholder overrides, and ask the Carve agent why a particular account was assigned to a territory. This allows annual plans, midyear reorganizations, new-market coverage, and headcount changes to be modeled without maintaining separate spreadsheet versions.
Each completed scenario includes a configurable analysis dashboard for examining account distribution and presenting options to stakeholders. Feedback can be incorporated into revised scenarios before the approved plan is deployed to the CRM. Carve accepts account data from Salesforce, HubSpot, and CSV or Excel files; Gradient Works explicitly documents direct deployment to Salesforce and support for Carve workflows using HubSpot data.
Carve can use account-fit scores and signals from Gradient Works Market Map when that product is also in use. Approved plans can then pass to Bookbuilder, Gradient Works’ account-book management product, which maintains rep assignments after the initial territory design. These related products extend Carve’s workflow but are not required to create and compare territory scenarios.
The Gradient Works MCP also lets compatible assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor retrieve scenarios, apply approved overrides, and initiate territory deployment. Gradient Works states that Carve can complete territory-planning work at least five times faster than its spreadsheet-based comparison process; actual time savings will depend on data preparation, planning complexity, and approval requirements.
