We use GTmetrix to optimize WordPress websites of customers and ourselves. In the past we used another provider, but GTmetrix worked better and we have had a paid subscription ever since. What is nice about GTmetrix is the option to choose a test server in your own region, the waterfall view and the feedback in the reports, which are very detailed. We only had to ask for support once and even the support is excellent :) Keep up the great work!
  • Scan settings are flexible
  • No restrictions in number of scans
  • Detailed reports
Good website performance is essential for ranking in search engines and for a good user experience. GTmetrix is perfect for optimizing performance.

We are using GTmetrix in our organization for many years. It works really great. It gives a wide analysis of the site performance using many advanced options and many vital options, so we may use it to know where we are lacking the site performance and with the help of their nice documentation and detailed report, it is an easy process to resolve the issues and improve the site performance. It also helps in the SEO in an indirect manner.
  • Its user interface is easy to use and well documented.
  • It gives complete analysis and detailed report of the site performance.
  • It uses many factors while determining the score, so it is a reliable & efficient service.
  • It allows us to use the custom region, device, or/and browser settings according to our requirements, so we can analyze the performance on many devices/locations directly from GTmetrix.
  • They might consider improving their checking process speed, it often takes a huge time to display the performance report. This is even longer for non-logged-in users.
  • Previously two different options of Google's Pagespeeds and Yahoo's lighthouse were shown in the report section, now only combined report is shown. I personally like the two reports from different sources.
  • Non-tech savvy persons might not find it so easy to use.
GTmetrix is very well suited for small organizations or startups that do not have sufficient technical staff for site optimization. GTmetrix also comes with the free version, which allows users to use their service for free for up to three websites, which is a good option. However, this might not be the best option for a large organization that works in different technical domains and have a good number of technical staff.

The product provides solid information about page load speeds, addressing any issues that slow the process. They also provide detailed information on performance such as first paint as well as structure and waterfall. Great tool for seeing how changes to a webpage impact various important elements. I use it often to check new pages, as well as a handful of important transactional pages that needs to be quick and clean to ensure more sales.
  • Fast return of page load issues
  • Great actionable insights
  • Great guides to improve web page engagement
  • Deeper knowledge of page elements and their importance
  • Knowing which areas will have great impact beyond time of load speeds
  • Should drop any elements that do not reach a certain level of impact - to save distraction and get important issues dealt with
One of the best page load and insights to what can be done to improve it. Many programs offer this type of information but none provide the depth of info. If used right it's super helpful. But the sheer volume of info can divert attention to the issues that should be addressed immediately. A step-by-step priority guide would come in handy, beyond ranking the issues.

I use GTmetrix along with my team members to monitor our multiple websites. It helps us to determine any issues with our website. It provides us the authentic report on the current state of any site and provides applicable suggestions which in turn make the websites more convenient to the user of our services throughout the world.
  • It provides detailed information of page loading speed.
  • It evaluates overall performance of a particular site.
  • It provides workable suggestions.
  • User interface could be more user friendly
  • More test location to be added
  • Report could be provided faster
I am using this outstanding software for years now for myself and for my clients. We are enjoying what GTmetrix is providing to us to run our website more easily and we can fix any issues when we are informed of it by this outstanding software. To be honest, it can be used in every scenario of a website, there is nothing to worry about selecting this software.

We use GTmetrix for two main tasks. It is one of our investigative tools when beginning an SEO audit (or deciding if we even want to take on the client). GTmetrix allows you to quickly get a pretty comprehensive look at the technical health of a website. In just a few minutes you can get a good look to see the data size of a page, get an idea of load time. You can also see if the site is using caching, scaled images, if scripts are minified and/or in-line and the list goes on to address about 25 different parameters.

The other area that we use GTmetrix for is speed optimization. Not only can you see the items mentioned above but you also can look at the Waterfall so you can see the order that assets are loading on the page but also how long each takes. This lets you identify areas that can be improved and find where the biggest improvements can be made with the least effort or cost.

Speaking of cost, all of the above can be accomplished with the free version of GTmetrix.
  • Quickly assess the general technical health of a page or site.
  • Quickly Identify areas that can be improved.
  • I have been using GTmetrix for several years. I have the free account and I honestly cannot think of one thing that I could suggest improvements for. I am not afraid to critique when due. However, in this instance there really is nothing that I can say that I dislike or would like to see different. The interface is easy to understand and use. The information that is produced from scanning a URL is well organized and well presented.
I am not at all averse to the larger SEO platforms like SEMRush or Ahrefs they are great tools and can do virtually do everything GTmetrix can. However, I tend to like tools that are really good at one thing if I am looking to do a specific task.

GTmetrix is superb at what it does. Of all the Website audit tools available GTmetrix is the best at looking at the technical issues a site or page may have. It is built to do this one function and it does it great. Especially considering you can do all this with a free account. If you are looking for Metas description, H tags or other on-site data, this is not the tool. However, if you want to see all your render-blocking Java Scripts if compression is being used or scaled images are correctly sized, this is the tool.

A typical scenario we find ourselves in during speed optimization is to have a tab with GTmetrix open as well as being in the backend of whatever website we are working on. As we make changes to the site we can immediately check using GTmetrix to see how the improvements are helping. This process takes place in real-time and is quite efficient. I can do the same with other tools but they tend to look at other areas of the site at the same time and that makes the process slower.

We use GTmetrix to ensure a fast load time of websites for clients. Many have beautiful sites, but they now know their sites load slowly. GTmetrix is great to know where the site is lagging and how to improve the site to load quickly. Some areas are more important than others and the breakdown from the report is perfect to prioritize the areas for improvement.
  • Reporting
  • Recommendations
  • A few more test locations
  • Save more runs when logged in
Showing page speed results to others is great! The breakdown is outstanding. It has an overall PageSpeed, YSlow, Waterfall (super useful), and more. It might not have the most technical details, but for a free tool, it does a perfect job for everyone. If someone wants to dig into the details, they can easily click on one of the tabs and dig in.

We use GTmetrix on a regular basis throughout the organization, since it helps us get insights from website performance issues and what we can do to improve that.

It gathers data from PageSpeed, YSlow and Waterfall (like devtools), besides offering some paid features like timings, video and history.
  • Really complete report of performance issues.
  • Get reports from PageSpeed and YSlow at same time.
  • Gives a score from each separate tool, also displays loading time, page size and total requests very easily.
  • The user interface is a little bit confusing.
  • You can't choose a different test server (since we're from Brazil, it doesn't reflect exactly what most of our users are experiencing).
  • There's a wait time (queue) in case there are other users using the platform at the same time.
GTmetrix is an excellent tool if you need insights and a complete report on your website's performance and what you can do about it. Google PageSpeed, for instance, offers more features in order to get better results.

Although the user interface is inferior, I rather use GTmetrix than PageSpeed or YSlow separately.
