IBM Verify is a comprehensive platform whose main work is to help protect user accounts and control who can access systems and data. With IBM Verify you no longer need to save or remember passwords or change them regulary for security , what you do is just login once and the rest logins automatically.

  • IBM Verify offers third party apps integration capability.
  • The product protects both data and apps to ensure privacy.
  • The software is easy to setup and customize.

Cons

  • One of the drawback is that IBM Verify lacks advanced features like backup which incase your phone is lost getting back your accounts can be very stressful.

IBM Verify is our primary MFA and identity verification tool. It provides us with additional verification steps that ensure only authorized employees can access specific company information. It has played an instrumental role in strengthening our security posture and also reducing the risk of phishing. It provides us with one centralised authentication platform which brings uniformity in security in all departments. It is intergrated with our cloud and other platforms and all employees use it for daily authentication into our systems.

Pros

  • It has very reliable MFA push notifications that ensure a smooth login process.
  • Using biometrics makes login and authentication faster
  • It provides phishing resistant authentication methods which boosts our security posture
  • Setting the app on my phone was pretty much straightforward.

Cons

  • It has limited customization for alerts and security prompts.
  • I have experienced occasional sync delays when switching devices.
  • Offline authentication does not work smoothly.

In our organisation we mainly use it for Identity management and sometime for MFA as well.The good thing about it is that it has good and clean user interface. It enforces MFA and strong authentication mechanisms, reducing risk of credential theft. Automate HR work like on-boarding and of-boarding.All our corporate employees, IT administrators, and some external vendors uses it.

But for small teams or basic use case it feels too complex and costly to manage. Setup part also takes some time.

We use IBM Verify to manager access across our on premises and cloud environments. It is a great way to protect our business data and apps from attacks that results from unauthorized access. Besides boosting security, IBM Verify also ensures fast access to apps and data thanks to features such as password-less access and MFA.

We use IBM Verify for single sign ons using multiple MFA methods like SMS, email, voice and push notifications. We like it because it helps to reduce the dependency on passwords with adaption of WebAuthn. We also use it to grant access request, approvals, onboarding and offboarding user. The ability for this platform to integrate with our legacy applications are a plus as well.

  • Initial setup and configuration can be a little complexed.

My company has improved data security and streamlined agent and customer logins since implementing IBM Verify. It decreased fraud, shortened user access times, and made compliance easier for us. In general, it improved the safety and effectiveness of our system for day to day insurance work.
