What is IDU?

IDU is a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) platform designed to centralize budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The platform establishes a governed environment by connecting to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, providing the audit trails required for regulatory compliance.

Functional Modules

The IDU platform includes several modules to manage financial cycles:

Budgeting and Planning: Supports multiple budgeting methodologies within a unified, governed model.
Forecasting: Facilitates driver-based forecasting on a monthly cadence. This module utilizes AI components to assist with data entry and analysis at the cost-center level.
Consolidations: Manages financial consolidations across multiple entities, currencies, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards. It includes automated intercompany eliminations.

Deployment and Licensing

IDU provides three deployment paths to accommodate different IT requirements:

IDU Cloud: Hosted on Microsoft Azure.
Private Cloud: Deployment within a customer-managed cloud environment.
On-premise: Local installation on customer-owned hardware.

The vendor offers three licensing models: Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Software-with-a-Service, and subscription. According to vendor documentation, implementation can be completed within several weeks.
