We in our organisation use Lexalytics for analysis the text like surveys, reviews and comments which different people has given for our products and services. Lexalytics is one of the best platform in the area of text analysis it has variety of functions because of which it makes very easy for us to analyse the data of millions population.

If any organisation wants to do the analysis of the text like surveys, reviews, comments, or the feedbacks of customer in a nice and a short way then Lexalytics will be boon for them. It has many functions like language identification, sentence parsing, sentence chaining, decoding of sentence, sentiment analysis; because of which we can easily identify the different languages it also identifies over 100 of languages. Lexalytics identify the sentiment of the text and accordingly tells us regarding the sentiment of the customers towards our products and services. Lexalytics in its self is good platform to do overall analysis of text and it is very different from their competitors in terms of support and pricing etc.

I frequently use Lexalytics for its add-on with Microsoft Excel. It is a full text analytics platform, with a visually sophisticated interface that focuses on customer and employee feedback. It has great features and more than any other cloud API. It has text analytics, sentiment analysis, linguistic categorization, and emotion detection capabilities, as well as a modular NLP configuration tool, which helps solve a variety of problems related to text data.

I used Semantria for my grad school for a project in mining and analyzing tweets for the Volkswagen controversy which happened at the end of 2015.

We used their Excel Plug-in to input twitter data which worked really well.

We were also looking for the sentiment of our content. Our business problem was to calculate sentiment score and do graph analysis. Semanntria did that very well.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you are a basic license user, semantria does well and presents analysis quickly. After the analysis, it creates multiple tabs with different views of the data and some visualizations and graph analysis also. The graph analysis and node connector graph is very useful. Their algorithm is very strong and it gives correct sentiment score even for neutral statements. I didnt get to use the API version of semantria so have no comments about that. Upon reading online about it, i found that the integration takes a while .
