What is Ivanti Velocity?

Ivanti Velocity is a mobile application-modernization tool for warehouse, manufacturing, retail, logistics, and other frontline workflows that still rely on host-based telnet or web applications. It presents those applications on Android, iOS, and Windows devices without requiring changes to the underlying host system.

Administrators use the Velocity Console to configure host connections, transform host screens into touch-oriented interfaces, and deploy the resulting configuration to Velocity clients on mobile computers. The platform supports HTML and CSS screen styling, custom keyboards, scripting, device-specific layouts, barcode-scanner workflows, images for visual confirmation, and photo capture for proof-of-condition records.

Velocity can add voice-directed tasks and connect workflows to peripheral or emerging operational technologies, including autonomous mobile robots. It is commonly used to update text-based warehouse-management, SAP, and supply-chain applications for rugged touchscreen devices while retaining existing business logic and back-end systems.

Velocity originated as a Wavelink product and was brought under the Ivanti brand after Wavelink became part of Ivanti in 2017. It remains listed in Ivanti’s current product portfolio; the legacy designation refers to its Wavelink lineage, not to product discontinuation.
