Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We've just migrated S/4 to SAP on Rise Priv Cloud. Allowed us a bunch of new SAP products that come with the upgrade. I use SAP Build to help replace fragmented solutions, such as UiPath RPA + SAP GUI and Microsoft cloud apps. Other programs have their limits in what they can do or extra cost so build allows me get around that and use SAP native software, part of the clean core.

Pros

  • native integration with our SAP environment
  • Ui is easy to use, drag and drop
  • All of the build is within the solution automatically

Cons

  • combining SAP BUILD with Joule Studio would be great
  • allow connections to be created via conversational directives
  • easier connections with external systems

Return on Investment

  • Reduce the need for outside contractor support on fragmented solutions-positive

Built a well completion - cost center workflow that will start with a request from end user, goes through multiple approvals before a well completion and a cost center are created in SAP. Used SAP Build Automation and SAP Inbox

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

To Generate the code. I used SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Build Actions, and Joule Skills for custom APIs, and for the front app, SAP Build Code. custom app approval process. Before the workflow, SAP standard had no sufficient info. end user use the app.

Cons

  • The Power Automate flow designer is hard to debug. A flow can save with no errors and then fail at runtime, and the error message doesn't say which step caused it. Publishing a change also takes several manual steps. I'd like clearer errors and validation at design time.
