Streamlined HR System With Some Drawbacks
Javelo.io is the program our company uses to conduct periodic employee reviews. It allows direct reports and their managers to independently respond to evaluation questions before meeting face-to-face to discuss their responses. I use Javelo from the perspective of an employee filling out my career review to discuss with my manager.
- Once you are in the review portion of the platform, following the prompts is straightforward.
- The dashboard shows clear indicators of whether you have an action remaining in the review process.
- If you exit the review before completing all prompts, the answers will not always be saved. I have had this happen twice when I couldn't finish the questions in a single sitting and despite saving my session, I had to start from the beginning.
- When returning to an in-progress session (assuming it is saved correctly), it is less clear at what stage in the review process you are, and what is remaining.
- I have had difficulties with the language defaulting to French on my login page and in automated emails.
- Unified HR platform for career evaluations.
- Allows direct reports & managers to complete parts of the review process independently.
- Sets a timeline for stages of the review cycle such that all employees have to have certain steps completed by a deadline.
- More timely completion of reviews (over 80% completed before the deadline in the last cycle).
- Better participation in career reviews.
- Provides a structured formula to career reviews that provides measurable indicators for analysis.
Javelo.io is the primary platform my company uses for reviews and interviews; the other products mentioned primarily serve as HR management and organization (such as PTO requests, employee handbooks & guidelines, salary calculator, org structure, and benefits enrollment). In that regard, Javelo.io offers a more social-focused approach to HR that is well-suited for performance reviews and interviews.
