What is LawAccounting?

LawAccounting is legal accounting and practice management software for mid-sized law firms. It is built natively on Salesforce, so accounting, billing, matters and client data sit in one system instead of being split across separate tools. It is designed for finance teams (CFOs, controllers and legal accountants) as well as attorneys and firm administrators.

Key features

Trust accounting: Tracks client trust funds by matter and client, with three-way reconciliation and records kept for bar audits.

Billing and invoicing: Creates invoices from tracked time and expenses, supports LEDES billing for insurance and corporate clients, and accepts online payments.

Time and expense tracking: Attorneys log time and costs against matters, and those entries flow straight into billing and accounting.

Banking and reconciliation: Connects bank activity to the general ledger to make month-end reconciliation easier.

Financial reporting: Gives firm leadership reports on matters, billing, collections and overall firm finances.

Multi-entity accounting: Supports firms that run more than one entity or office from a single system.

Matter and document management: Keeps matter details, documents and financial records together, so staff don't have to switch between systems.

Who it is for

Mid-sized firms that have outgrown general accounting tools such as QuickBooks or Xero, and firms already working in Salesforce that want accounting in the same platform. Practice areas served include personal injury, insurance defense, family law, immigration, bankruptcy and criminal defense.

What sets it apart

Most legal accounting tools connect to practice management through integrations. LawAccounting runs inside Salesforce, so financial and matter data share one database, one login and one set of reports.
