Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Magisto to create slideshows and marketing videos for Dance Daze, Inc. We post the videos on various social media channels, and sometimes, also email the videos to families/clients.

Pros

  • Ease of use.
  • Unique compared to other options in the field.
  • Good variety of editing options.

Cons

  • It would be great if Magisto would allow significantly longer videos—20 to 30 minutes. I've often wondered why Magisto focuses on shorter videos and only recently began allowing videos that are 10 minutes maximum.
  • I would love for Magisto to offer an affiliate program. I publish a lot of videos that I create in Magisto and refer it to many people in the education and dance industries. I would love to be able to do that as a paid affiliate and I'm sure others would as well.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think Magisto is well-suited for individuals, businesses, and brands that want to create marketing videos that are on the shorter side. I don't think Magisto is a good match for someone seeking to create long, informative videos, streaming videos, etc. It is also good for someone who is working to brand every aspect of their business. Magisto helps with that.

Professional, easy to use video editing platform.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Magisto to create videos for our clients, to promote our work and to share the stories of our clients. We work with the Marketing and Fundraising departments of non-profit organizations to help them create engaging material that inspires. Magisto is extremely easy to use so we can either 1) Train teams on how to use the platform 2) Create cost-efficient videos for non-profits. The amount of time that Magisto saves is a massive benefit to all project holders.

Pros

  • The ease to upload, sort and edit videos.
  • The many options to add themes, music, and styles.
  • The ability to host, download and share all from within the same platform.

Cons

  • The themes can be improved upon. Most are too busy and take away from the video.
  • A longer video than 5 minutes would be a bonus on the professional plan.
  • Access to 1080p downloads at the professional plan level.

Likelihood to Recommend

Magisto is well suited for any venture that wants to promote its work. From a short introduction video with a logo to a more in-depth editing project, Magisto has the tools needed. Magisto provides video analytics, email marketing tools and the ability to embed videos on any website for business users. If you don't want to do record video, just add a group of photos and create a video from them.
