We use ManageWP in our website development and support department. It is used to make updates to client websites that are on one of our website care plans, it manages the updates, checks for website vulnerabilities, alerts the team to any security or downtime, monitors the performance of the clients' websites, and also allows us to easily send monthly reports to all clients.

It is well suited to anyone that has a Wordpress website, whether it be an individual or a company managing multiple clients sites, its an easy way to manage, maintain and keep your website running smoothly and secure.

It provides a simple dashboard to review sites, see any issues, perform backups, check your site security (and review past checks), check our site performance (and review past checks), monitor uptime (paid) and more.

ManageWP is not required if you only manage a single website, however it still simplifies the update process for single-site admins.

If you are managing more than 5 WordPress sites, it is totally worth it. Some of the addons or paid versions are great if you are using them professionally. It can even be useful for fewer websites as a quick and easy dashboard to see everything that needs to be updated and to manage comments and spam.

I personally think that if you have a single WP installation it's worth checking out. ManageWP and seriously streamlined our management of Wordpress installations and honestly I'm not sure what I would do if I had to go back to managing sites one by one.
