The Ultimate Digital Twin Software for Mining and Operations

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In my organization we use MineTwin as a tool to develop simulations which help assist clients in the mining sector with regards to mine designs/ upgrades and analysis. We have built simulations for clients in both the openpit and underground sectors using MineTwin's advanced features to provides in depth analysis.

Pros

  • Provides detailed visuals and graphs, as well as detailed data outputs which allow a user to analyse the workings of the mine.
  • Has a great 3D view feature which is nice to demo to clients and also during debugging and setting up of the models.
  • Provides predeveloped options for mining equipment which can be used to reflect real world equipment.
  • The team is always willing to assist with customisation should it be required for a specific mining operation.

Cons

  • Honestly, it is hard to find anything to complain about. Because it is packed with so many great features, you might spend your first afternoon just clicking around to see everything it can do - but the layout is so clean and intuitive that you feel like a pro in no time.

Return on Investment

  • This software comes out the box with all the mining tools and operation niche items you could need. Which makes setting up a mining simulation much easier than using a standardised software and tuning it for a mining operation.
