mRemoteNG

I use mRemote to access all of my network switches, servers and other devices. It is a one-stop shop to remotely access pretty much anything that has a management interface. This product lends itself really well to being flexible and having multiple tabs open at one time. I find this software keeps everything in one interface, so I don't forget about all of the devices I'm managing.

mRemote is well suited if you need to manage multiple types of servers and/or network devices. Instead of opening a dedicated Putty session and having to manage all of the windows, mRemote can handle all of this with different tabs.

If you only have a few devices (less than 10), mRemote could be overwhelming for the need and not quite match up with what you are needing.

This is used to maintain a list of RDP connections. Each connection can have custom parameters and you can even save credentials for quicker login the next time. It even has a immediate reconnection incase of disconnect and tries upto 5 times. The tabbed interface allows to easily switch between multiple connections.

It works well in small and medium IT organizations where there is an admin managing multiple environments. It doesn't work well for large enterprise environments where they have advance security requirements such as multiple factor authentication. Also it does not have cloud native integrations such as AWS or Azure.

I used mRemoteNG to connect to servers, computers, and switches in my network. It allows for quick access. The systems are listed in a drop down and organized by category. My credentials are saved so that I do not have to enter them every time that I need access to a resource.

mRemote is well suited for any users that needs access to multiple devices on a network. This can be a home or business user. Network administrators or engineers can use mRemote to manage SSH connections to switch on the network. System Administrators can use mRemote for access to multiple servers on a network. A home user can use mRemote for access to a home router, switch, or computer on the home network. It is a great tool for any IT user.

Use it as an RDP/Telnet/SSH client for internal IT staff. IT staff have to remote into a variety of systems, and mRemoteNG is a nice, clean and organized way for us to get the job done.

The ideal solution if you are an IT professional needing to manage a ton of remote desktop or remote connection sessions. It is a free and open source software and just works. There are other paid solutions on the market, some of which I have used in the past, but nothing beats, free and simple and easy to use.

My development team uses this to manage various remote servers, mostly RDP, some VNC, and a few console\terminal devices. Makes organizing and accessing servers very easy, along with being able to share between the team any new infrastructure setups very quickly. Were mostly a Microsoft house with only a handful of non-windows appliances but this app helps bring all the remote management together in one convenient place.

Great for gathering multiple remote server and device access protocols into a single application where they can be organized grouped and easily searched for. You can use the tree hierarchy to group servers\devices or search quickly to find what you want. It also allows you to add external applications as an object to connect to so web page-based iDRAc, for example, can be managed in the same place as the native desktop access of the same server—very convenient. Sadly, the main downside to this app is its lack of active development which is a shame as it is the most convenient of multi-protocol remote server access tools I have come across.

mRemoteNG is incredibly useful in allowing us to access several servers at once, using tabbed viewing, instead of having to have multiple MSTSC windows open that can often get confusing. Allowing the configuration of user credentials also speeds up the process of accessing servers, as its just a quick click!

Well suited to environments where IT staff need to access multiple servers/systems at the same time, cutting down on time wasted opening multiple windows.

Not so useful for users that only need to access one system remotely, as most of its functions are largely unused in that case.
