nextPIM

nextPIM is a cloud-based product information management system for dealers, manufacturers, importers and buying groups that manage large assortments. It is developed by nextPIM GmbH in Hörstel, Germany, and has been on the market since 2019.

Getting product data in order does not have to be an IT project. The data model is standardised and the processes are pre-built from more than 100 successful implementations, so nothing has to be designed before work can start. Onboarding takes four hours, after which more than half of all customers go live. Day-to-day maintenance stays with the sales office team rather than with IT, which is why half a position in customer service is usually enough to keep a large assortment current.

Product data from Excel, CSV, BMEcat, PDFs and supplier files is consolidated into a golden record, scored for quality and published channel by channel: online shops, marketplaces, B2B portals, ERP systems, print catalogues and exchange formats such as BMEcat and Datanorm. Classification according to ETIM, eCl@ss and customer-specific catalogues is part of the standard, and a new platform is typically connected within 48 hours.

Connected systems include Shopware 6, OSG Multishop, gevis COMMERCE, SellSite, Odoo, Electronic Sales, Onventis, Mercateo Unite, simple system, SymbioCommerce, OXOMI, ausschreiben.de and Google Merchant Center.

Mass data editing across thousands of articles, macros for recurring rules, validation and data quality scoring keep large assortments current without additional staff. AI functions generate marketing texts and technical descriptions, translate content into further languages and enrich attributes. An integrated digital asset management stores images, videos and documents alongside the article, and a PDF designer produces datasheets and complete catalogues from live data.

The vendor states that customer systems with more than a million products are normal at nextPIM. Support is included in every plan at no additional cost, by email in the entry plans and additionally by phone and Teams in the higher ones. Pricing starts at 600 euros per month, billed annually.
