Nimble AMS's got potential, and headed in the right direction
Rating: 7 out of 10
IncentivizedUse Cases and Deployment Scope
NCCHC uses Nimble AMS across the entire organization. Our Marketing department uses it mainly for hosting events, i.e. virtual and onsite conferences and webinars. We have both certification and separate accreditation departments that use a customized version of the Programs module. We've built and continue to update the Community Hub to allow our constituents to purchase our merchandise (mainly standards manuals) but also to register for our events as well as apply for certification and/or accreditation. We've also recently launched a foundation that allows constituents to make donations via the Community Hub.
Pros
- A high level of transparency regarding product release schedules.
- The technical support team is extremely knowledgeable provides lots of detail in their support responses.
- The Events and Exhibitors modules are pretty useful right out of the box.
Cons
- More thorough and updated online help documentation.
- Larger focus on building out Donation module and making it more seamless with the Accounting module.
- More modular on-demand training, focusing on specific parts of Nimble AMS that are used most or are most challenging.
Likelihood to Recommend
It seems Events/Products/Exhibitors and Programs seem to work fairly well in this system. They are very functional out of the box and I appreciate the ability to customize without having to do it with code. I'd like to see more attention focused on Donation functionality, i.e. pairing a donation with a merchandise purchase, ability to match a guest donation with a current person account, ability to have multiple entities and use recurring donations. I'd also be interested in seeing the Community Hub Management tool be expanded to allow for more flexibility and customization of pages and their underlying fields and data sources.
