Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Employee Payroll by Wave services are used for automatic payroll payments and tax payments. The Payroll by Wave product also provides necessary documents such as 941 forms for audit purposes.

Pros

  • Payroll by Wave processes quickly and deposits to employee accounts automatically
  • Simple process to review time sheets, bonuses, commissions, etc...
  • Provides detailed reports

Cons

  • Implement an employee time clock option through a separate link which automatically applies to the weekly time sheets.
  • Option to further customize payroll statements
  • Add a per employee payroll dashboard with the option to review rolling, quarterly, and weekly snapshot. Info to include gross pay, employer paid tax, employee paid tax, etc...

I've been a Payroll by Wave user for nearly 10yrs and it's been an excellent solution for us. Affordable pricing for small businesses and the platform is a breeze to learn. Overall an excellent accounting, invoicing, payment processing, and payroll service. I highly recommend Payroll by Wave services.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Since our days with QuickBooks, we switched to WAVE. It's always accessible. easy to use and works great with reports. Slight but not too difficult learning curve. We also use WAVE for other accounting work.

Pros

  • easy to use
  • has been very reliable.
  • good transaction reports
  • clean interface, no confusion

Cons

  • Could offer automatic tax filing
  • maybe not good for growing business

It integrates with other systems, i.e. bank. There are several tools, and their help is always there. When we first started with the system, we were expecting more complexly that there was. The results were spot on. SO much better than our previous system.

Payroll by Wave is a reliable platform for managing and updating payroll and ensure its prepared on time. The platform is used in our organization and has improved the way we manage our payroll, automating the process helping capture all the employees benefits and dues. It's efficient and has helped us address the business problem of having erroneous payroll that's prepared manually failing to capture the due employees' benefits and wages.

Pros

  • It has a simple user-interface and fits perfectly in our organization.
  • It's efficient and helps us update our payroll and ensure employee dues are paid on time.
  • Customer support is available and willing to help all the time when one gets stuck somewhere using the plan reliably.

Cons

  • Sometimes poor internet connections impede on the proper working of the platform.

Payroll by Wave is efficient and fits well in a scenario where a company aims to expedite the process of payroll management and bring automation where the payroll is updated on time and in an error free manner. It will enable preparation of payroll on time and ensure that employees are able to view the payroll prior to payday and have any errors available are rectified on time.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Payroll by Wave is great, easy to use, intuitive payroll software. As a single owner/employee, I don't have need for a large scale or complicated system, and Wave offers a perfect solution at a very reasonable price point. Its easy to set up, and the customer support is top notch. It's literally just a few clicks of the mouse and payroll is taken care of.

  • Time-saving: Everything is saved from one pay period to the next so it's very easy to click and run.
  • Great price: Perfect for smaller businesses who don't need the extra bells and whistles
  • Customer support: Any questions are addressed quickly, set up was a breeze.

Cons

  • Can't think of any!

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for small business payroll needs. Reports and taxes are taken care of, everything is automated and once you're set up it's literally just a matter of minutes to run payroll each time. You also get email reminders which is helpful. There are premium features available for companies with larger/more robust needs, and I would definitely recommend looking into this software if you are searching for a user friendly payroll solution.

I use this to manage payroll for me and my small team. It makes paying employees and filing with the government super quick and easy.

Pros

  • Simplified payroll filing.
  • Easy to add/edit/remove employees.
  • Integrates perfectly with my Wave bookkeeping.

Cons

  • Additional filings such as WorkSafe, etc.
  • More flexibility when it comes to paying a director.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

From the first time I got into the position of paying staff I've thought that the payroll process is overly complex for what needs to be accomplished. We contracted or hired a person to fill certain hours, roles or needs, so why is it so hard to reward them accordingly? Wave Payroll takes some of the headache, confusion, time and learning curve out of paying your employees. It onboards you quickly to the payroll process, and has you up and running with employee information in a matter of an hour as long as you have deposit and tax information on hand. The interface is easy and intuitive and settings are easy to find and change.

Pros

  • An intuitive, clear UI helps you know where everything is, what options are at your disposal. Calendars and timelines show that Wave really thought out how to provide you with useful tool.
  • Pay day can be automated and straightforward.
  • Wave onboarding provides guidance at what information to input next until you are all set up.

Cons

  • Payroll is a paid feature at $10 + $4/employee per month. I suppose this is a normal expense, but other payroll systems I've used, such as ones built into online banking, have cost me a fraction of this.

Likelihood to Recommend

Payroll by Wave is a simple tool - and of course it requires you to be inside the Wave ecosystem. So if you are invoicing and accounting with Wave, you are probably a small mom 'n pop setup in search of low-maintenance and cost-effective software. Payroll is a good complement to your Wave account.
