What is Perplexity?

Perplexity Enterprise is an enterprise research and knowledge platform that combines web research, internal knowledge search, multiple AI models, and agentic task execution. Employees can use it to find cited information on the public web, ask questions across connected company content, analyze files, conduct multi-step research, and create work products from a governed workspace.

Enterprise Offerings

Enterprise Pro: The standard enterprise tier for organization-wide research, internal knowledge search, collaboration, administrative controls, and access to supported advanced models.
Enterprise Max: A higher-access tier that adds greater limits for research and creation features, expanded file capacity, premium model access, enhanced security capabilities, and early access to selected features. Organizations can assign Pro and Max seats independently.
Perplexity Computer: An agentic work environment that can research, analyze information, create content, work with code, and complete longer-running tasks from natural-language instructions.
Comet Browser: A Perplexity browser experience that brings research, question answering, and supported browser-based tasks into employees’ daily web workflows.

Key Capabilities

Cited external research: Searches the web and produces source-linked answers, follow-up questions, and research outputs for current or complex topics.
Internal knowledge search: Connects files and supported business applications so employees can retrieve answers from organizational documents and content they are authorized to access.
Deep Research and projects: Supports longer-form research, multi-source analysis, shared projects, and reusable organizational context.
File analysis: Lets users add files to sessions, projects, personal repositories, or organization repositories and ask questions about their contents.
Multi-model access: Provides access to Perplexity and selected third-party models. Available models are controlled by subscription tier and organization-level privacy settings rather than a fixed model list.
Enterprise administration: Includes role-based permissions, single sign-on (SSO), System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM), audit logs, file-sharing controls, and configurable data-retention settings.
