Best project management tool.
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We used Rocketlane to manage project timelines, milestones, timesheets, and status updates for internal and external stakeholders. Business problems addressed by Rocketlane are giving complete transparency and visibility for the teams to manage the project timelines and delivery. I would say it is more of a project management tool. Scope: Plan resource utilization from the project timelines and keep external and internal stakeholders aligned regarding the project timelines, tasks, and status updates. Also, to fill the timesheet.
Pros
- The project timelines and tasks feature is nice.
- Status updates can be published, which can be seen by external stakeholders/clients even though they are not on Rocketlane or they have not taken Rocketlane subscriptions.
- Timesheets can be easily tracked through which resource utilization can be planned.
Cons
- Because of too many features, load time has become a little slow.
- Sometimes, the feature was not saved. Forex, we wrote something in the task description that was not saved, so the auto-save functionality should be there.
- If it can be integrated into Google Meet or Zoom and log the time from the calendar, we don’t have to fill timesheets and create tasks manually.
Likelihood to Recommend
There is project management tracking from the start till the end (onboarding till hypercare). The bifurcation of project stages and pre-built templates is good; you can assign client tasks. Less appropriate: Raising tickets for developers because there is no escalation management option. Let’s say the developer didn’t reply in 24 hours for a high-priority task; this should be automatically escalated to their senior.
