What is RoverPass?

RoverPass is reservation and property management software built specifically for outdoor hospitality: campgrounds, RV parks, glamping properties, showgrounds and public parks. Founded in 2014 and based in Austin, Texas, RoverPass is used by more than 2,000 campgrounds and RV parks across the United States. It is not a general hotel or hospitality platform adapted to camping, and the vendor does not sell into other lodging verticals.

Reservations
RoverPass handles nightly, weekly, monthly and seasonal stays in one system, alongside long-term and annual residents. Group bookings can span multiple sites under a single reservation. Site assignment, deposits and balances, cancellations, promo codes, daily rentals, and event or festival ticketing are included. An OTA channel manager keeps availability in sync with outside booking sites.

Payments and point of sale
A camp store point of sale runs on RoverPass Terminals with contactless payments and ACH. Because the point of sale shares the reservation system, store purchases post to the guest's stay rather than a separate till, and store revenue appears alongside site revenue in reporting. Recurring invoices and autopay support seasonal and long-term residents.

Operations
Waivers, mass SMS messaging to guests, and revenue and occupancy reporting are built in. Website design for parks is available as a service.

Differentiators
Two capabilities distinguish RoverPass from most competitors in the category. First, the vendor builds custom features for individual parks on request, so a park with an unusual site layout, billing arrangement or seasonal structure does not need to change how it operates to fit the software. Second, AI chatbots and AI-generated reports are part of the product rather than supplied through a third-party partner. RoverPass also connects to more than 7,000 applications through Zapier.

Pricing
RoverPass publishes its pricing rather than quoting on request. Small parks pay a $99 monthly minimum, and per-reservation fees of $3.50 count toward that minimum, so a park pays the greater of the two and never both. At roughly 30 reservations per month the minimum stops applying. Medium parks pay $3.50 per reservation with no monthly fee, and large operations start at $1.50 per reservation. Parks can choose whether the park or the camper pays the per-reservation fee at checkout, which means a park that passes the fee through and books more than about 30 reservations a month carries no software cost of its own.

Best fit
RoverPass suits independent campgrounds, RV parks and glamping operators, and small groups of parks, particularly those that need the software adapted to how the park already works. Operators running large multi-property portfolios, or mixed portfolios that include hotels, may find a broader hospitality platform more appropriate.
