Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In my organization, I use SAP Build for low-code development platform for quick business applications and some of my workflow. It really helpful for both developer and business user to collaborate together to make solutions. The main point of using SAP Build is to design workflow automation and custom business application that can integrate easily. It helps to solve various business challenges like slow development and some dependency on some developer, but accessing low-code product made easy.

Pros

Quick application development like it makes it very super simple to create applications fast using just drag-and-drop interface and low-code method.
Workflow automation and some process optimization is one of the stronger feature of this product that provide automation for our requirement.
Easily integration with SAP product

Cons

Only Learning curve for more complex feature as some advanced feature like complex workflow logic, some integration and customization need some good understanding of SAP services.
Low-code interface is good, but with having some limited options for customization in UI.
Performance can be consider main things when using large application development with complex flows that time it feels slower.

Likelihood to Recommend

SAP Build works well in some quickly develop internal application and one of automate workflows without focusing on older methods. It helpful for scenarios like approval workflows, internal data management apps and creating dashboards, but SAP can be less appropriate when it comes to large complex application and flows where it need custom coding and some other more UI customization as per requirement.

SAP Build helps to build the application in a very easy way on the cloud. Its a go to application for the developers coming out from the core layer. It helps to explore the generative AI capabilities. It helps in quick development of small applications without having to spend a lot of time in development. This helps in the decision-making and the report generation. Can’t wait to integrate more with the non-SAP core systems.

SAP Build is used to automate the process and also it is useful for seamless mobile app and application development. Using the SAP Build app, in our organization, employee leave application is created. In this application front end is developed using SAP Build app components and it is mapped to back end. In back end some automated process flow is developed so that it can takes decisions based on multiple scenarios. It provides integration with SAP S4/HANA. Like i said many more automated process and apps can be easily developed using NO CODE LOW CODE development using SAP Build App.

Changes will reflect directly in SAP S4 HANA architecture

SAP Build App is used for business automation process where approvals are needed like in our case Leave Application of an employee. Decisions flow will be automated based on certain conditions like auto approval of leave and intimation to employee for approval. In some cases, needs approval from managers so it flows to manager for approval. It is less used in applications where big data is used and complex logic needed to develop.

SAP Build offers two products. One is LCNC approach and I have predominantly used SAP Build Apps for POC purpose, and I can re-use the same POC to develop it into a full UI5 app. It works well for citizen development. Similarly, I have been using SAP Build Code for developing enterprise ready full stack apps by leveraging Node.js and UI5 apps. Now Joule got integrated too with SAP Build. This speeds up our innovation and automate our business processes using SAP Build BPA. SAP Build Work-zone is another webhost that manages the users on cloud and it helps for the team where sap access is not required. Overall, SAP Build is becoming robust and providing everything that business user needs.

Pros

SAP Build Workzone is a cloud ready service that it can provide access to users over cloud. It really liked it because for Non-SAP users they don't need to have seperate logins to access SAP systems
SAP Build LCNC helps to create an app either from scratch or take reference from existing apps and develop on top of it
SAP Build Code is pro-developer tool helps for creating enterprise ready web apps

Cons

More Gen AI features we can provide in SAP Build
Prompt templates should be provided in SAP Build by default to create complex business automations
Joule Demos can be integrated into SAP Build

Likelihood to Recommend

For LCNC app, it is best and for vendors who doesn't want to access our SAP systems and they need only access to a specific app on a launchpad then SAP Build work zone is well suited. Inorder to leverage Joule features to get the predictive analytics before then SAP Build helps here

We have developed an Invoice Processing application using SAP Build Process automation for our finance department for Internet bill reimbursement for our employees. We have used SAP Build Process Automation and integrated it with our RPA bots to automatically extract data from invoices and initiate an approval workflow based on our pre-defined business rules.

Pros

In our organisation SAP Build automation helped us in extracting details from a invoice. Like when a vendor invoice is received as a low-resolution PDF. The D.I.E. service automatically scans and extracts the Vendor Name, Invoice Date, Gross Amount, and, critically, the multiple line items (description, quantity, unit price, tax codes.

We are using SAP Build in our RnD project to trigger WF from Standard SAP application and We can see the WF in My collaborations app. We are actively using SAP Build for automaton of Workflows.
