Use Cases and Deployment Scope
SAP Datasphere (DSP) is the next generation of SAP Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC), in our organization we have connected our S4HANA, BW4HANA for our sustainability use case, here we are extracting data from above sources to accelerate our analytics into cloud, and we are further feeding our data into SAC models and also to SCT (Sustainability Control Tower).
Pros
- We can accelerate our analytics with power of storing in cloud
- CDS view with real time replication
- Integration with SAC - Analytic Models, OData Connections (Bi-directional)
- Object reusability, also there is no need of storing physical data
Cons
- It has very limited advance modeling compared to SAP BW
- When the data volume is huge, OPD performance and stability is inconsistent
- It heavy depends on Sap Analytics Cloud for querying, whereas BW has it own query designer

- Real time reporting helps in providing more flexibility to take decisions immediately
- Reusability of objects with different helps in reducing the time and efforts
- Data Access Control provide more security on data level, which ensures the data are visible correct personas
