ScanCompta

ScanCompta is a mobile expense-recording application for French sole traders, freelancers, artisans, and small businesses. Available as an installable web app for iPhone and Android, it uses Intelligent Document Processing to extract the date, amount, value-added tax (VAT), supplier, and expense category from photographed receipts and invoices.

Users can review extracted data, assign expenses to client or project folders, record mileage allowances, and retain supporting images. Duplicate detection identifies receipts that may have been entered more than once. Monthly exports combine expense data in a CSV file with receipt images in a ZIP archive, which can be emailed directly to an accountant.

ScanCompta is designed to prepare expense records for bookkeeping rather than replace an accountant or full accounting system. A free plan includes five receipt scans per month, mileage calculations, one client folder, and basic CSV exports. Paid plans add unlimited scanning, additional folders, receipt archives, and expanded export options.
